This is absolutely worth your time.  It is the giant flushing sound of Chris Christie’s political career.

  1. This is so good! Jimmy Fallon is such a talented guy and I love the Boss.

  2. which one is the boss?

  3. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Loving it! This video in on most every blog, so Chris won’t be able to avoid it. Hope he hears it on the radio, while being driven to ‘work’ today.

    3
  4. Being held up to public ridicule by a person one idolizes must really smart.

Christy will be lucky to be opening grocery stores in small towns after 2016.

  5. Ralph Wiggam says:

I heard the flush, I saw the swirl. “Born to Run” is now “Governor Chris Christi’s Fort Lee New Jersey Traffic Jam” and he can’t stop it any more than Santorum could stop Google.

  6. TexasEllen says:

    Wonderful. Love it.

  7. When The Boss takes you on, you R done!!!!!

    7
  8. Whoah! Did you see those “guns” on Springsteen? They are both aimed at Christie.
Bruce should go sleeveless more often. He and Fallon are using their incredible talent to make a statement about political oppression.
    Feels like the ’70’s again.

    8
  9. If New Jersey just has to have someone run for President, couldn’t they pick Bruce?

    9
  10. Marge Wood says:

I called our older son to tell him about this and he’d already seen it. He’s lead guitar and vocalist for BRUTAL JUICE, doing recordings for new disc. (a little hand clap here)

    10
  11. If Christie is the 2016 GOP nominee, this song will be played at the Democratic Party National Convention and will get some air time

    11
  12. UmptyDump says:

@Kyle – Helluva good point! No doubt this satirical political ditty will be around for decades, just like “The MTA Song” in Boston that the Kingston Trio later made into a national hit.

Now I gotta go take a pee and flush Christie’s toilet.

    12
  13. To put this video in perspective, Bruce Springsteen is Christie’s favorite rocker. It’s not just that The Boss dissing him, Springsteen is someone Christie admires and respects:

This concert is the 129th the governor has attended. His four children all went to Springsteen shows in utero. He knows every word to every Springsteen song. He dreams of playing drums in the E Street Band. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2012/07/jersey-boys/309019/

  14. Marion (formerly known as MM) says:

Fabulous! I’m so glad he did this!

For Frank@2: Springsteen’s on the left.

    14
  15. That is just one of the cutest and most wonderful thing I’ve seen in a long time! Would have loved being a fly on the wall when C. Christi heard and/or saw it. Thanks, JJ, for posting it.

    15
  16. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

Thank you so much for that — I have been having a truly crappy week and I finally smiled.

    16
  17. Miss Prissybritches says:

As I was mesmerized by this ditty last night on its first run on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon/TV, I kept wondering if Bruce wrote it, or Jimmy wrote it, or the Fallon staff wrote it…. whose idea it was. It is WONDERFUL and a serious “bitch slap” that Christie cannot ignore.

    17
  18. I’ve been laughing inappropriately all day because of this.

Now, if Tom Morello would show up there the next time Paul Ryan does something dispicable, it would make my year.

    18
  19. Epic! I just tweeted the video to my followers. It’s mocking him, but Christie will love it! He’s such an attention whore, he doesn’t care if Bruce is making fun of him — He’ll be thrilled just as long as Springsteen’s paying enough attention to him to call him out in a song!

    19
  20. #17 Prissy,

When I saw this my opinion of Fallon went from very talented to *ridiculously* talented. Carson, who’s that?

  21. Christie’s feelings were hurt http://gawker.com/chris-christie-couldnt-bring-himself-to-watch-springst-1504805696

(The governor could not bring himself to watch the traffic jam-themed parody of “Born to Run” sung by his idol, Bruce Springsteen, on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” though he was told by his college-age son, Andrew, that it was funny.)
