That’s the Pot Calling the Kettle Dark Beige

July 02, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Rupert Murdoch, a man on top of the news, has weighed in on the most important event of the week:

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch weighed in on the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes divorce story Sunday, saying he thinks Scientologists are “creepy” and possibly even evil.

“Watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people,” Murdoch said on his Twitter account, @rupertmurdoch.

Oh Dude, Rupert Murdoch knows creepy and evil like the back of his hand.  In fact, it is the back of his hand.

Thanks to Brian for the heads-up.

  2. I knew you were going to comment on this, when I read it this weekend. That was the first thing I thought – that being called evil and creepy by this guy was the most epic of ironies.

So there’s this, which I totally saw coming from the start. And then there was his other comment about Romney having no chance against Obama unless he fires his campaign staff and brings in the pros from Dover. Which I am on record in this very beauty salon as having advocated were Romney ever to offer me enough money to risk my soul.

Having already mortgaged his own soul to get more money than God or even Mitt Romney, Murdoch gave away that same advice for nothing.

However, I am now in the uncomfortable situation of agreeing with Rupert Murdoch twice in the same weekend. I think I need to lie down in a dim room with a damp towel on my forehead. I have a soul-ache.

  4. I wasn’t aware that Rupert Murdoch could consider anything creepy. I had trouble a while ago when he was in the news a lot in the British press I read online, and every main-page article seemed to have a photo of him– oh lord why? Do they think we want to keep looking at him? (I can’t even subscribe to The Times online because I refuse to give that man any of my money.)

  5. daChipster: I had to lie down with a cold compress myself the other day when I agreed with George Will about something. (He doesn’t think that giving a 14-year-old life without parole is a good idea, though Scalia does, of course.)

Poor Chipster! But I really love the idea of Murdoch calling someone see evil–it’s such a classic case of projection. On the other hand, I can’t say he’s wrong either, which does make me a little bit nauseous. Maybe that’s why I had to lie down earlier myself.

  7. I have to agree with all ya’all…what is the world comin to when we agree with Murdoch… I almost agreed with Tom Friedman yesterday……EEEEEEEKKKKK!

If anyone knows creepy & evil, it’s Murdoch.

  9. Murdoch must think Scientology is real evil if he thinks it is worse than himownself.

I usually adore your comments, but this is priceless:

“I think I need to lie down in a dim room with a damp towel on my forehead. I have a soul-ache.”

Pretty well captures every time I think about what the Rethuglicans are thinking!

Yep, evil and creepy. He even looks like C. Montgomery Burns.

Rupert, do they tap your phone and record your calls?

I can’t help but think that when RUPERT MURDOCH calls you creepy and evil, you’re way over your creepy-and-evil quota for your entire continent.

@ daChipster, sounds like Mr Media STOLE your idea and gave it away for free, which is NOT the same as agreement! Hope that consouls you…

I think the Murdochs (both? All?) have 666 tattooed on em somewheres…

And it’s thinking about the Muurrdochs that gives me a headache – same effect as Rove…
