That’s Nice.

December 02, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

New York City just posted the mail-in absentee votes today.

And not surprisingly, they went convincingly for Biden. In Manhattan, Biden received 90% of the mail-in vote, 86% in The Bronx, 85% in Brooklyn, 81% in Queens, 63% in Staten Island. And NYC has a lot of ballots, so Joe got about 700K new votes (for exact totals, you can go to Dave Wasserman’s twitter feed).

As a result, Biden has surpassed 81M votes, has nearly a 7,000,000 vote lead over Trump, and Trump is now below 47% of the total vote (46.9% for Trump, 51.3% for Biden).

Everybody duck!  Trump’s gonna do a tweet tsunami about how crooked that is.

It ain’t. He’s just not well liked in New York City and I cannot imagine why.

Just thought you’d want to know.

    Lived in NYC in the 70s, 80s, 90s. d.tRump was a joke.
A fool in the headlines. A name that caused a lot pathetic laughter and mocking.
His world was Boom. Bust. Social news.
If New Yorkers don’t like you, there are reasons.
If New Yorkers don’t trust you, there are more reasons.
If socialites and wannabe Star Fuckers don’t hang with you, you haven’t spent enough money. Yet.
Now I live in Texas. More of same on smaller scale.
If there have been over 20 assassination attempts on tRump, why have they all failed? Our CIA must be pretty good.
    OK, I’m ranting now.
What will be the final painful action that will propel the GOP to bring in the moving vans and vacate the White House?

  2. I read that Ivanka and Jared are having to leave the town as residents.

Hopefully we will see them back for their upcoming court appearances.

You know at this point, how much worse can Trumpf get? Go for it donnie doolittle, mr president. Piss off NYC a little more. You’ll need to take your brand to Russiar or China.
Losing now by almost 4.5 points and 7 million votes is getting pretty close to landslide. No, it is a landslide.

  4. There are 7 million stories in the Naked City and most of them are analogous.

  5. Buttermilk Sky says:

When I lived in NY trump wanted to take over Central Park, tart it up (the city was too broke for much maintenance then) and charge admission.

To know him is to loathe him.

Yet he always appealed to the hayseeds. In 1985, when I was editing a small paper in Iowa we wentbto Manhattan for a convention of rune editors and publishers.

The people I was with wanted to see 2 things in NYC: Trump Tower and the Bijan store that sold $200 neckties.

Trump’s interior decor is exactly what aspirant hayseeds think is elegant.

  7. I live in NYC — other than for school, I’ve lived here all my life. The numbers actually surprise me: I’d have thought that Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens would all go substantially more than 90% for Biden. We New Yorkers all know Trump. And we pretty much all hate him.
