Thanks to Irene, Who Keeps Tabs On These Things For Us

Dear Ms. Juanita and fellow denizens of TWMDBS,

Help!

I just arrived home to find a minute-long robocall from Callista on my answering machine.

She is offering a free copy of “God in America” if I give her all my personal information and buy a copy of “our” latest project “God in America II”.

Seems she and Newt were so touched by the evidence of God in America while on the campaign trail that they wanted to share their experiences and take a stand against the “ACLU” and “elite media”.

Do any of you have a clue how this pitch is financed?

I think anyone who can afford a sales pitch like this is pretty “elite” but then I don’t have a credit line at Tiffany’s.

Irene

Dear Irene,

I did a little research and discovered that “free”dom is just another word for nothing left to lose.

I don’t think Callista is gonna buy much at Tiffany’s anyway, Honey.  Those books ain’t exactly Fifty Shades of Newt’s Grey.

Love and Fried Okra,

Juanita

Be social and share!

i got a chance to talk with her too, in FL a couple of days ago. my, isn’t she just lovely!
i can’t really say that i know anything of her but her judgment quotient must be way out of whack. i know way more then i want to of newt. i’m just creeped to the max by both of them. i really don’t understand how newt can bear to show his smug, corpulent, smarmyass face in public. let alone continue to lecture the rest of us on our morals!

  3. Where are Newt and Callista getting any money these days? Wasn’t his campaign in the hole? I assumed Mitt threw him a few dollars in exchange for Adelson’s cell phone number.

  4. I’m not religious myself, but my friends who are don’t feel that they ever lost God. Maybe Newt and Callista just aren’t looking in the right place.

  6. Is there any oral sex in it? I’m a senior citizen just like Newt, and I’m thinking of moving to Florida, and getting STDs just like the people in the Villages, that Santorum’s mom lives in.

  7. This is really gross and disgusting. They are robo calling to sell a book?
Can you imagine how many other people could do this too?
We all would be doing nothing but answering our phones!

I bet they are using left over PAC money. Then again, wasn’t Newt one of those R’s who was in debt?
Want to run a country, but can’t even run a campaign?

  8. I got that call 3 times, a couple of months ago. Didn’t realize it was still making the rounds…..guess they go by the old adage about blind hogs and acorns.

  9. @Cliff,
ROFLOL! Friends of ours moved to The Villages and we visited them last fall when we were in FL on vacation.
Creepy, creepy place–and I’m not referring to the sagging flesh most of us have at our present ages.
It’s like Senior Center Disney which is no surprise because the developer used to work for Disney.
The little “Village Centers” look like the “countries” at Epcot. The developer provides all loans. He also has a decorating service to sell packages of furniture and accessories that are designed to fit the floor plans of the houses–of course the houses have to be one of the approved designs.
Everyone is white. Everyone is over 55. Everyone rides around in a golf cart.
24 hours there and I wanted to run around screaming.
Our friends are reasonably liberal New England Democrats and they admit to having second thoughts until they started to meet a few like-minded sorts.

It’s Callista’s job to milk the snake for oil, then flog the oil?

  11. @Glyn: My Bubba says that Newtie puts on a clean shirt and suit and goes out to the Day Labor pick-up spot in McLean, VA, and waits for someone to come along who needs a talking head for a TV show. (Notice how often he shows up on the Sunday talkfests?)
