Thank You, Newt
Newt Gingrich has made his pronouncement.
Newt Gingrich on Monday pronounced himself “dumbfounded” that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney earned fewer votes than the party’s 2008 standard-bearer, Ariz. Sen. John McCain.
“The president won an extraordinary victory, and the fact is we owe him the respect of trying to understand what they did and how they did it,” Gingrich said on NBC’s “Today.” “But if you had said to me three weeks ago that Mitt Romney would get fewer votes than John McCain — and it looks like he’ll be 2 million fewer — I would have been dumbfounded.”
Dumbfounded? Well, you gotta hand it to Newt – at least he found his dumb. That’s a lot better than most other Republicans.

1Let’s see. The Tea Party. Four years of congressional obstructionism. Repub candidates discussing the upside of rape. Blatant racism. Clear contempt of women, blacks, hispanics, gays, science, etc. A sickening primary, producing a Mormon candidate for the party of evangelicals. I’m dumbfounded that Romney got as many votes as he did.
2Well, there’s shellshocked-Mitt, spaechless-Reince Preibus, dumbfounded Newt, hissy fit throwing-Karl, lunatic beyond belief-Trump and perplexed Palin. I won’t mention the other assorted nuts of the GOP ’cause its too early to start drinking, celebrating and gloating again.
And anyway, the fact that Newt didn’t go into hiding years ago dumbfounds me.
3And I just read over at Raw Story that Callista told Barbara Walters that Petraeus’ affair was hurtful to his family. Her hypocrisy sickens me!

Newt has the right words, just in the wrong order. Newt wasn’t dumfounded, he was founded on dumb.
