Texas Sucks

May 22, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, in a frenzy of Jesus furor, the Texas Legislature passed the Just Don’t Pee bill, which means that transgender people are just the heck outta luck when it comes to peeing.  They can’t use their gender identity to determine which bathroom to use.  Texas are not specific about how to enforce this but you can bet it won’t be pretty.  And it’s gonna cost us about the same as landing on Boardwalk with five hotels.

And in honor of Sweet Jesus, who told us not to judge, the Texas House has decided that non Christians in Texas cannot adopt children.  Even if an adoption agency is state funded, they can discriminate against non-Christians without fear of being sued.  It goes to the state senate this week where it will be easy approved.

And now that Republicans are not winning straight ticket voting in Texas, they want to do away with it.

More to come …

  1. What is it with these people? Do they wake up each morning trying to decide what is the most evil shit we can do today? Who can I screw over?

They must think they are jes good’uns doing good work but to me they just look like an open sewer.

I still think the main problem is these illiterates don’t know the difference between trans sexual and transvestite.

I have nothing good to say about Texas regarding this, hence, I will say nothing further.

  5. JAKvirginia says:

Some weeks ago, I took the time to research the question “Just how many times have women or girls been assaulted by men in ladies rooms?”

Believe it or not, several others have been intrigued by that question as well. Their results? TWO. Yes, two. And that’s for ALL of North America! Yep. The USA and Canada.

And that’s as far back as before year 2000.

Now, the US case wasn’t assault. Guy went into ladies room to change his clothes, then left. (Why? Who knows.) The Canada case was real. He was a serial rapist. A trans law would not have stopped him one bit.

So… just like voter fraud, worthless, I-can’t-govern Republicans drum up another fallacy to pass a law that punishes the innocent under the guise of “protecting” someone.

  6. Seriously, doesn’t stuff like this ever get struck down in court? Plus, aren’t there any private adoption agencies in the state? I know of people who are going to other parts of the entire damn world just to adopt. What is in the drinking water in the Texas lege!

  7. I guess this means we will all start carrying copies of our birth certificates for the pee police to check. Cant wait.

  8. This state cannot be permanently in my rear view mirror soon enough.

  9. Jane & PKM says:

The literacy rate of the Texas lege is in serious trouble, when the little identifying stick figures on the door are not enough that they know where they are and need to resort to checking out the other patrons for affirmation.

  10. Just goes to show that no idea is too stupid for Texas Rs to embrace, if only it’s hateful enough.

  11. Dang! Is a new classification for TX state jobs being created? Bathroom stall monitors…smh!

    11
  12. I spose Dan Patrick will be the chief peepee examiner and he will station deputy peepee examiners in all public restrooms in Texas. Their job is to quickly peek down and make sure the user’s plumbing matches the facility. Another full employment program brought to you by Texas snacilbupeR. Not the examiners. The attorneys who will grow wealthier suing the State of Texas over the antics of the Texas Lege.

  13. Fred Farklestone says:

Did they fund the bill for hiring Pee-pee Cops? If they didn’t why didn’t they?

  15. It must be terribly confusing for Cons visiting a Starbuck’s. Restrooms that are just restrooms. Holiday cups without words that depicted winter scenes. Oh the humanity.

  16. Does that prohibit Texas legislators from using the toilet on an airplane?

WTF does this have to do with Jesus Effin’ Christ? I’m with Cole.

  20. two crows says:

Um. When it comes to the If-you’re-not-Christian-you-can’t-adopt bill, they’re gonna have at least as much trouble enforcing it as the Wait-till-you-get-home-to-pee bill — in which case, if they want to make it happen, they would have to close all public restrooms.

So — adoptive agency staff member: “Are you Christian?”
    Applicant: “Yep.”
Adoptive agency staff member: “OK, sign here.”

When do we get to refuse to pay any taxes that would be used to enforce the crazy-making of the nation?

    20
  21. It’s all just show because they know the it’s unconstitutional and will be overturned. Red meat for wingnut supporters.

  22. The “Potty Bill” is just plain stupid, I guess someone had too much time on their hands. As for the adoption changes, when I was a kid up in Jersey they passed a requirement that you had to be a church member. As a child I thought they should be more concerned with the character of the possible parents for a child. Do they have room in their home, funds for a child, love in their hearts for this child. There are a lot of fake people in church who are real sinners. Texas has a lot of kids that need a real home putting Christian or any other belief as a must is just plain stupid! There are good people out there single, various colors etc . Texas has families for these kids, STOP MAKING IT SO HARD !!!
