Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick

March 23, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Oh y’all.  No. No. No.

Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick was on Fox News tonight just a few minutes ago and volunteered me to die for my grandchild.  Click right here.

He’s apparently calling old people on the phone to get them to volunteer to die to save the economy.

That is so messed up.  That is so messed up that Mr. Clean, super glue and McIver couldn’t fix it.

And no, I am not willing to die so Donald Trump can get re-elected.  And thank God that I am blessed with children who are also mortified by this.

What?  The free market and trickle down now requires human sacrifices?

Hey Dan, you go first. It was your idea.  I told you that Trump is going to get us all killed, Dan, but you wouldn’t listen.  So, instead of grandparents, how about Republican politicians volunteering to die for Trump’s screw-ups.

If there’s 100 typos in this, it’s because I am shaking.

Be social and share!

US President Donald Trump gestures as he speaks during the daily briefing on the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, at the White House on March 22, 2020, in Washington, DC.

President Donald Trump appeared at the White House daily briefing on Monday evening where he again—despite public health experts warning the extreme danger of doing so—touted the unverified effectiveness of specific drugs in treating the coronavirus.

    Watch:

“This is appalling: Trump is using his press conference to AGAIN tout misinformation about a drug not approved by the FDA, even after a man died after self-medicating with that drug,” tweeted Matt McDermott, a Democratic strategist and pollster, after watching the president’s remarks. “Media, stop live streaming his misinformation!”

“This literally killed somebody earlier today,” declared sportswriter and podcaster William Kedjanyi. “How many more people will have to die?”

As Common Dreams reported earlier Monday, Trump has already been accused of gross negligence for repeatedly touting the effectiveness of chloroquine phosphate, an anti-malaria drug. Despite warnings from health experts that chloroquine has not been tested for treating COVID-19, Trump falsely claimed during a press briefing Sunday that the evidence for chloroquine’s effectiveness in treating the coronavirus is “very strong.”

According to a news alert from Banner Health earlier in the day:

Medical toxicologists and emergency physicians are warning the public against the use of inappropriate medications and household products to prevent or treat COVID-19. In particular, Banner Health experts emphasize that chloroquine, a malaria medication, should not be ingested to treat or prevent this virus.

“Given the uncertainty around COVID-19, we understand that people are trying to find new ways to prevent or treat this virus, but self-medicating is not the way to do so,” said Dr. Daniel Brooks, Banner Poison and Drug Information Center medical director. “The last thing that we want right now is to inundate our emergency departments with patients who believe they found a vague and risky solution that could potentially jeopardize their health.”

A man has died and his wife is under critical care after the couple, both in their 60s, ingested chloroquine phosphate, an additive commonly used at aquariums to clean fish tanks. Within thirty minutes of ingestion, the couple experienced immediate effects requiring admittance to a nearby Banner Health hospital.

megasoid @3, thank you for that PSA!

Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself, please relax. You have several very good attorneys in your family tree who would never allow such a thing. Hell, even Joe Manchin spoke against the ***king moron* and stood up to Moscow Mitch. Just so you know, rest assured there are a few million millennials beyond those in your family who will never let this happen. Really. It’s just a bunch of the ***king moron’s* fan boys talking smack.

  6. Dan Patrick must have looked at his investment portfolio today and thought, I can’t take any more of this. He couldn’t come right out and say Make America Great Again By Killing Grandparents And Helping My Investments, so he frames it as his concern for the youth of our country.

A hypocrite and a liar, recommending a Republican policy pandemic.

  7. megasoid says:

Did anyone listen to Monster’s speech in that video?
He said FDA essentially rammed the other product (He could not even pronounce either chemical), quicker than any other time in history. Which was a damn lie!

It will be available to NY residents tomorrow.
I hope we aren’t witness to a mass murder. Somebody has to take a stand.

Maybe he can take Rand paul’s example and infect as many of his fellow feces-pudding-like-consistency globs of viscous pigshit with…. well, self awareness. But I ain’t betting on it.
    Sincerely, sorry Mama.
    F*ck dan patrick.

  10. If you get the opportunity to watch Rachel Maddow interview Sen Klobuchar, and hear what her infected husband is going through with the Sen. and her family, contrast it with the topic above.

Klobuchar is not a shrinking violet, and she had a shaky voice discussing this disease affecting HER FAMILY. And how her husband self quarantined. When he coughed blood, while she had to self quarantine herself elsewhere, leaving him alone to go through the hospital system (which isn’t yet overwhelmed). A condition families are starting to experience across the country. A circumstance that will accelerate in occurrence until the people exposed prior to the states of emergency go through their fate.

Who knows how many people are going to be afflicted, and die. But at the end of the next 2 weeks, will it be enough to make the powers that be realize money versus lives is not a question valid to consider asking the American people…

  11. thatotherjean says:

Dan Patrick can go first. Definitely. And he can take grandfather Donald Trump with him. Both of them, but especially Trump, are spreaders of misinformation, bigotry, and massive stupidity, of the sort that has, and will, get people killed.

    11
  12. And this disgusting excuse for a man claims to be pro-life. Yeah, we see that.

  14. So a bunch of wealthy fat cats are upset because their stock portfolios are not as pretty as they once were. So the Cheeto in the White House, and the imbecile in the Texas Gov. Mansion think the best way to save their sorry behinds is to listen to these morons and go all Logan’s run on the elderly.

My Pop always used to say, never take firefighting advice from a bunch of guys who sell gasoline. Daddy was right, these guys sell gasoline and they are the last people on the face of the planet we should be getting advice from when it comes to a pandemic conflagration.

  16. Dan Patrick has outed himself as a Nazi. Yes, I’m going there.

So it was “Death Panels!!!!!!!” when President Obama was suggesting seniors make end of life care plans with their families and future care providers but now it’s just fine and dandy to sacrifice seniors for the ECONOMY?????!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!??? The sacrifice I’d like to see is these “people” choking to death on their own hypocrisy. Yes, I said that out loud. Yes, I’m THAT ANGRY.

  17. Ralph Wiggam says:

I imagine a parade of republican senior citizens led by Dan Patrick marching up to the rim of a volcano and leaping in. That is the only way to placate the Corona God!

  18. Sweet Jesus! All us old folks getting sick will overwhelm the hospitals…I guess you could just drive all our pre-corpses onto the White House lawn and let us expire there.
Boy, all the attorneys be busy after, probating all our wills. I will go, right after the “ wrinklies” in the Repugnant Party.

    18
  19. Vivian Swift says:

And Hannity is taking it all in, and rephrasing it into a sound bite, as if this is the new normal. Why aren’t Republicans coming out of the woodwork to denounce this?? Oh, right. Because Dan Patrick is only saying what they are all thinking.

    OK, Boomer. You first.

I firmly believe Abbott & Patrick should lead by example and offer themselves up as such immediately.

In any event, both their amoral acts demonstrate there should be no fear of religion interfering with gov’t.

  22. Opinionated Hussy says:

Deb #14: That is the best line I’ve heard yet.

The discussion in our house with my Spousal Unit is the pattern of Greed taking over the government, just as it did (and tanked the economy) after WW I. 100 years later, and we’re seeing its fruits again. He and I both saw it starting with Ronnie Reagan – reading cue cards and busting unions. His Orangeness is just the latest in a long GOP line.

    22
  23. No more pretending to be compassionately conservative. Empathy is weakness. Fairness is for suckers.
f**king trump is Ronald Reagan without the misdirection.

    23
  24. Getting past the overall horror of Dan’s remarks, I’d like to focus on two details:
    1. This isn’t just about grandparents. Because of the screw-ups in testing and PPE supplies, he’s proposing killing extra doctors and nurses too. The real heroes that surviving Ruthugs will cry crocodile tears over, while offering thoughts and prayers.
    2. Dan talks as if without rich people, civilization will crumble. Most people got through the depression because those with little helped those with nothing. I have faith that most Americans will try and help others, even if rich people go bankrupt.

Dan probably figures if enough moochers leaching money through disgusting entitlements like Social Security will go ahead and die, John Galt won’t have to lead the rich into hiding until the rest of us come to our senses and beg them to come back and rescue us from the evil socialism.

  28. Sam in Superior says:

Does Dan Patrick realize he’s sentencing his radio audience and closest supporters to possible death? People like Patrick and Trump are killing people by their direct actions. I hope the payback is painful.

    28
  29. What about the large number of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren (I know two families)? Are they suppose to surrender their grandkids to foster care so they(the grandparents) can die for the economy?

  31. I, for one, think that if Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick believes in human sacrifice to appease the gods, then he should do it. I think he, Trump, Moscow Mitch, Rand Paul, Richard Burr, et al., would be a very fine beginning and that the gods will be pleased. Don’t you?
