Texas Hot Fried Paranoia
You gotta love Texas paranoia.
Well, it gets messy when the invisible hand of the free market forces becomes Barack Obama’s fault.
Those with time on their hands will truly enjoy reading this gigantic whine.
My toast burned in the toaster this morning. Why the hell are we letting Barack Obama get away with this?
Thanks to Jenn for the heads up.
Gotta love the GOPee version of ‘personal responsibility’ in which Jesus is responsible for washing away their sins and President Obama is responsible for all their mistakes.
1OK. I read the long of the short item. This kind of chicanery is not unheard of but the White House has nothing to do with it. Look at Capitol Hill. Knew a farmer, now deceased, who went through something similar to this. Knew others in different areas of enterprise, too. They were smart enough to contact the House subcommittee that deals with banking. Since these guys are nowhere’s that smart, they are blaming anybody they can think of. And by God and the Lord Harry, whining never solved one damn thing! Just when are they going to cowboy up and realize this!
2I guess they were gonna build a whine and cheese shop next door at the shooting range?
Make bad decisions, whine, blame Obama, whine some more, grift from fellow Obama haters.
Sarah Plain would be proud.
3I’m shaking my head.
Wonder what kind of business they are.
Are they Incorporated, a Partnership, or a Sole Proprietor, or did they think to be any of the above as far as the Great State of Texas is concerned? Reckon they filed any papers at all with the Office of the Secretary of State… before they started this little enterprise? I think probably not.
So, somebody with this business enterprise is screwing everybody else with this business enterprise, and it’s got to be Obama’s fault.
And they are advertising their problems all over the internet, and on a sign?????
Geesh…..
4I guess being stoopid is a lifestyle choice.
5I think the only person not getting a share of the blame in that little whine is some dude on a grassy knoll…
6Nice touch, wanting us to keep them in our prayers. That’s the first thing I’m going to do, get down on my knees and pray to their Jesus, the holy protector of firearms sellers.
7It was nice of Tactical Firearms to give us the email addresses of folks we can write to and say “We sure are glad Tactical Firearms is losing its loan” or something like that. Would that be a good idea or not?
8I have an old pair of tennis shoes more responsible and saner than these loons.
9I’m actually relieved. I thought Obama & the banks were trying to end the US, as in the UNITED STATES, on July 1st. And right before the 4th of July holiday. Canceling my fireworks display while the Star Spangled Banner played would be a ‘travesty’ as they said in their letter. But one little old gun shop? Not so much.
10Sounds like they ran out of bullets. Oh poo…
11So.. that sign did not mention:
Steven Coe – a former partner wished to seize control
Employees willing to sink the business
Specific board of director at Icon Bank with conflict of interest
.
What I like is the bank that is lying through their teeth are saying that the government is at fault which of course means Obama
12So the original loan came due. And a 30% owner who may be acting in bad faith refuses to sign for a new loan as per the original agreement.
The owner therefore blames the government and also plans to file a lawsuit or two in government courts.
I cannot begin to understand how this guy’s brain is wired that he can believe so many opposite things at the same time.
I do understand how he can feel that he is a victim. That seems to be SOP for all right wingers when they don’t get their own way 100%.
13@ Sharon – Indeed – who knew that one of Tactical Firearms’ owners, Steven Coe Wilson, was a secret Obama supporter, as is gun store owner Mark Evans (also an Icon Bank director).
The Obama tie-in seems to be the claim that Icon Bank stated they were pulling the loan because: “government does not support loans to the gun, alcohol, or hotel industries.” This is highly amusing – Tactical Firearms seems to be admitting that they are moochers whose survival depends upon government-supported loans.
Of course, the real question is how this is related to Benghazi!!!!! Plus, Hillary Clinton’s whereabouts at the time these events occurred remain a mystery.
14You know, I’m not a gun nut, and I’m really tired of the Foxbots (a “bot” is a really gross fat maggot that is parasitic on living flesh, btw. They are disgusting) blaming everything (including the weather – Tampa Bay GOP convention?) on poor President Obama! It’s ridiculous as well as annoying. That said, I do think these TF folks have a legitimate complaint, and I DON’T like the fact that people with money and access are allowed to pull these stunts on people that don’t. I rather hope they find another lender; if that Evans fella is really trying to sink them in this fashion it’s dirty pool and I don’t hold with such. Cheating is not right, I don’t care how rich you are or how much influence you can peddle. Isn’t that really what we complain about all day long here, when you get right down to it? Perry’s been pulling that $@#% with our Texas public money for years now! It’s the very same crap on a bigger scale!
15@Aggieland liz . . . I read that document and my initial reaction was as yours is. Something very fishy is going on and that doesn’t seem right, no matter the illusions and inferences re the guvmint, this guy should file a Federal Banking suit.
16Surprise! Surprise! Apparently there is no honor among thieves, gun nuts or the GOP-ers.
17Let me see if I’m getting this right. Obama is responsible for THEIR bad business judgement?
18remember that Tactical is the key word. Put Tactical in any phrase or business name and it shows you are a Patriot, getting ready to “protect” (fill in the blank- you, your family, the Constitution, your business, etc) from “them.”
How about tactical condoms for the RWNJ group?
Tactical kinda makes me think of the Dodge dealership in the Dallas area that has Liberty in its name. I guess if you buy from them, you are more of a “patriot.”
19Since wingnuts can’t directly take away a woman’s right to an abortion they make it near impossible to obtain one through odious gubmint regulations and financial burdens on poorer women. See rethuglicans won’t allow taxpayer dollars to fund constitutional rights of women. Burn Obama at the stake. I guarantee it won’t make him whiter, whitey.
20Why isn’t the NRA supporting this gun shop? I thought that was in the charter!
If there is chicanery on the part of the 30% partner and the bank official/gun shop owner, then there should be a legal investigation. I wonder if TF has considered hiring a lawyer yet, before bleating out their frustration blaming everyone but themselves for not protecting their own business!
But one thing I know for sure – President Obama is not at fault here!
21Conflict of interest-like having Clarence Thomas vote in favor of Citizens United while his wife worked for Citizens United-that type of conflict?
22Competition must be fierce in the gun business. Twenty-three point four miles between these two gun shops. This is Texas where if God didn’t give you big enough gun at birth, you can just go out and buy one.
23What it looks like to me is that the Tactical Firearms Family made some stupid business decisions, including the bank they chose to get a loan with*,quarreled with a partner (who maybe said “That’s a stupid thing to do, guys & gals, you’re gonna be hung out to dry if just one thing goes wrong,” and believed the world would f&rt rainbows for them because they’re all one big happy family with employees that have kids and they believe in America and free enterprise (but not when it lets a black guy end up in the White House.)
So, as others point out, they choose to blame the black guy in the White House on their sign rather than the real problem. “We screwed up and are getting screwed as a result of not reading the fine print and taking better advice.”
*Icon Bank is not the kind of icon I’d want to do business with–the extreme volatility of their troubled asset ratio (as reported here: http://tinyurl.com/l7ebt2u) is not a healthy sign.
24Obama is responsible for my 16 year old lawn mower dieing last month! Why is he picking on me? I’m Canadian!
25So many of these poor benighted denizens of Rightwingnuttia are having trouble distinguishing between “Obama” or “liberals” or “Reid and Pelosi” or “activist judges” or “police over reach” or “the gay agenda”
…and “karma.”
26Anyone but me notice how exhausted, drawn, and strained President Obama’s face looks right now? I was throwing myself a pity-party over the weekend because I have been doing triple-time since February caring for my 82 year old Mom, whose list of maladies is a foot long. Then as I was lying in bed Sunday morning, channel surfing the interviews/opinions and other miscellaneous BS, I caught an Obama interview. It must be incredibly difficult to be the butt of all blame, while dealing with his list of pressing issues. Bless his heart. And if he takes an afternoon off to play a round of golf, he gets more grief. POTUS must be the worst job in the world.
27I posted my feelings on their FB page. If they’re that stupid they don’t deserve to be in business.
28Yeah, it’s all the President’s fault. Everything is. If he didn’t want to be blamed for all the evil in the world, he shouldn’t have run for President, and he sure as hell shouldn’t have won the election while being black. In republican land, it all makes sense.
29It’s worth reading the comments on their FB page including a long response by one of the attorneys involved. For the most part, they’re getting hammered by posters.
30I clicked the link, but I don’t read Dogwhistle.
