Paxton tweeted this today —-

My question:  can we include him in that 25th Amendment deal?

  1. Harry Eagar says:

The one who was elected to the West Virginia legislature on a pro-Trump platform is antifa? By dog they are insidious.

  2. I’m supposing here that Antifa has a vast collection of Trump, Confederacy, and Qanon flags and other insignia that they haven’t burned yet. Stands to reason if you from Possum Hollar…

  3. Jane & PKM says:

ROFL Kenny Boi will be very surprised to learn all those covidiots have already given themselves the big wet juicy snitch kiss on social media.

Maybe Kenny will visit them in prison and receive their ‘appreciation’ for being called Antifa.

    3
  4. The founder of Proud Boys Hawaii was confirmed in the Capitol at the insurrection. Is he part time Proud Boy, part time Antifa?

I guess Ken Paxton doesn’t understand that the concept of photographic evidence might conflict with his poorly considered Twitter lies?

  5. Steve from Beaverton says:

What is the status of the investigation into crimes by ken Paxton. Time to move that up on the urgency list because he’s dangerous like the president. Then maybe he can be a cell mate of the antifa fake rioters.

  6. AliceBeth says:

Since most elected officials do not accept communication from those who are not constituents, could all you Texans ask him for the information that “confirms” his statement? We do not take the word of such people we need data, facts, evidence. Please for the rest of us, give him HELL.

  7. Grandma Ada says:

He’s only saying out loud what the rest of the GOP want us to believe. If there was justice in this world the Austin Fire Department would be trying to put out his pants!

  9. my fave was rep. mooney, who identified them as “fascist antifa,” which has to win the “unclear on the concept award” for january.

    9
  10. The sky in my world is blue. Wonder what it is in his world.

    10
  11. Anybody listening to that weirdly robotic speech Trump just gave (He either read it or it was fed to him in an earpiece) could see that he didn’t have any doubts as to who was doing the rioting. I would love to know who wrote it and what they had to do to get him to stand up there and give it. Maybe threat of a 25th amendment solution if he didn’t?

    11
  12. AK Lynne @11

That’s an excellent question, but we’ll probably never know.
My favorite comment on Trump’s statement was that it sounded like a hostage video.

    12
  13. “Look, I think he (Trump) plainly bears some responsibility. At the end of the day, criminals are responsible for their own conduct and the terrorists who conducted that attack, they bear the responsibility. But I think his angry rhetoric was reckless, and I think it was harmful.” – Ted Cruz

  14. AlanInAustin ... says:

Suppose for a moment that they were “antifa” (as ridiculous as that might be), then why did Trump tweet the following:

“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”

Are they now saying Trump is an antifa supporter?

    14
  15. Antifa! Yes, the GOP’s nebulous, go-to bogeyman!

They really need some new material. But this being Ken Paxton, that won’t happen. What a loon.

    My apologies to loons.

    15
  16. This must be where that TX woman I heard in the C-SPAN call-in yesterday got her information. She claimed that it was antifa disguised in trump gear that broke into the capitol building. Meanwhile I heard that the Proud Boys, etc. were telling their people to dress in all black so people would think they were BLM supporters so BLM would get blamed for the violence. Though I didn’t see anyone in black in yesterday’s footage so…? On top of that, imagine these hoodlums dressed in all black. Would you mistake any of them for (white) BLM supporters? The mind reels…

  17. charles phillips says:

    Stomp, Stomp, Screeeee…Thud.

“Ma! Better git inhere, Ma! Kenny’s lost his damn mind!”

    Whack, Thud, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp.

    “SHEeeeeeIT!”

    17
  18. All I need to know is that rePUKEians LIE!!! And use lies, deception, & hate to do their thing of fleecing the people.Paxton is rePUKEian is all to be known.

    19
  19. “It wasn’t us, it was Tuttle!”

    20
  20. Oh! There’s a new group we can blame it on! Never heard of Antifia before… Are they right wing? Another name for the Proud Boys?

    21
  21. What would it take to get him out?
What would it take for a recall election for Ted Cruz?

    22
  22. I just called the office of the Attorney General of Texas. When asked what they could do for me I asked to speak to someone who was taking calls about comments the AG had tweeted. I was warned that the call would be recorded. I hope it wasn’t for the sake of the person who answered. The person who took my call was somewhat less than defensive of the tweet. I believe when I related the contents of the tweet the person was almost laughing about how stupid it was. The phrase OMG was used.
This was someone in the office of the Texas AG. Even they know how idiotic Paxton is.

  23. Paul @ 10:
“The sky for those devil worshippen, freedom hatin commie socialists is blue just like ours. AT LEAST THATS WHAT THEY THINK ! That’s how we know they’re evil! ”
Yeah it’s some kinda paranoid conspiracy theory psycho-babble. But IMHO it’s in the undercurrent of the right’s entire narrative. It’s why the sheep’ll probably STILL tell anybody who’ll listen that Obama tried to take their God given guns.

    24
  24. I don’t know Texas law, so I don’t know if Paxton can be recalled. However, there is no recall for Senators or Congresspeople. That would require a Constitutional Amendment.

    25
  25. So, let me get this straight. At least six White House staffers and two Cabinet members resign, apparently in disgust, following Wednesday’s mayhem. Now, Kenny, why would they resign if antifa is to blame for that insurrection? Does that mean that antifa has infiltrated the White House? OMG!!! Maybe even the president? Maybe Kenny’s on to something here.

    26
  26. Just damned angry....Joe says:

There is provision for Paxtoon to be removed in article 15 of the constitution….

Sec. 2. TRIAL OF IMPEACHMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS BY SENATE. Impeachment of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Commissioner of the General Land Office, Comptroller and the Judges of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and District Court shall be tried by the Senate.

    (Amended Nov. 7, 1995.)

I’m doubtful that the busload of dumbass we call our legislature would ever have the scrotal capacity to do same, but the is a process.
I’m also wondering if further charges could be levied again Paxtoon for misappropriation. I’ve no doubt that the taxpayers of Texas are financing his National Windmill Tilting Tour….

    27
  27. Paxton: pure buffoonery. His stupid cannot be fixed.

    28
  28. The FBI has confined on national TV that there was absolutely no evidence of antifa involvement, just Proud Boys, Boogaloo Boys and Trump morons in general.
I took a walk today, ran into a neighbor who spouted the Antifa lie and I was happy to correct her. Then she told me that Biden has dementia and I lost it. I told her she wouldn’t sound so stupid if she stopped watching FOX and walked away.
That must be the new propaganda about Biden and dementia.

    29
  29. Sorry, the FBI has confirmed….no evidence of Antifa.
