OT, elections related:
If you’re a Texan and would prefer to vote by mail in the postponed primary runoff races, you need to apply ASAP [instead of going to a germy polling place and maybe catching COVID19].
Early voting begins in one week, on June 29, election day is July 14.
Same bullshit process will take place in November [unless the process gets jacked around, go TX Dems], except for those VBM efforts of JJ et al.
The Texass VBM ‘vote by mail’ process is a convoluted PITA [why is that ?]. There are deadlines involved of course.
From the link below you can look up your county election office.
Then in order to ask for a ‘vote by mail’ ballot to be sent to you, you have to snailmail, or in some places, email them, a request for that actual ballot [which you then select from and mail back to them].
So, two different snail mailing steps [or one email, one snailmail], paperwork, etcetera .
I’m going to try emailing a request first, then have to watch the damned distant mailbox like a hawk [like I want them having one of my email addys].
Make sure that you provide all your pertinent data, name , address , voter card info [precinct ], etcetera, with your VBM request.
This bullshit could all be done online securely in a few minutes, but for the Texass Repiglikans like Paxton.
