Taking Jobs Away From Real Americans
Donald Trump was right about one thing. Those Mexicans are stealing the jobs of real Americans.
A group of Orthodox Jews hired Mexican day laborers to dress in traditional Jewish garb and protest against the New York City gay pride parade Sunday.
Nope, not satire.
And why would they do that?
Jewish group based in Brooklyn, said that the men were supplementary troops, filling in for the Jewish students who would normally be called upon to demonstrate.
“The rabbis said that the yeshiva boys shouldn’t come out for this because of what they would see at the parade,” Mr. Freed said.
Yeah, can’t be having the boys see something like equality.

1It’s oddly comforting to know that all the right-wing crazies aren’t Christian. I mean, I knew that some Jewish sects are very conservative. But who knew what lengths they would go to to preserve the innocence and delicate sensibilities of the yeshiva boys?

My Bubba wondered if the Jews paid the Mexicans more than Trump paid those actors to show up at his announcement.
Friend replied that he didn’t Trump would be hiring any Mexicans anytime soon.

9@Henry, add the rabbis to the boys. The Yeshiva boys will end up like the Duggar boys. Ignorant and way too curious at the expense of the girls.

11I have taken the extraordinary step (for me) of opining to my adult children, several of whom are teachers, that this upcoming school year and every year thereafter for many, many more, the most important thing they may teach in a Texas classroom is how and when their students should ask adults “Why?” Apparently even not conservative parents don’t teach that any more.

15A couple of things–why is Alexander Hamilton, founder of US monetary system and featured on the $10 bill, in danger of being replaced? What happened to the idea of replacing Andrew Jackson on the twenty?
And second, Queen Elizabeth (a woman, don’tcha know) is featured on British pound notes without any apparent objection from orthodox anybodies.

17So ironic that this should take place at a gay pride parade since this Jewish group seems to have no pride at all. They have accomplished nothing except to make themselves look silly.
18Micr: “Why” according to the Texas Republican Platform (education section) would not be allowed because there should be no teaching of “critical thinking skills” since that would cause youngsters to question their parents and other adults in authority. I couldn’t believe it until I read it for myself. However, it makes perfect sense if you consider the source.

21Um, The yeshiva honchos just did an even bigger no-no than they realize! For a Jewish tactic, this looks and sounds so Islamic as in Pakistan where impoverished people in the outback are paid and trucked in to demonstrate on the streets of cities such as the big cities, all to gain viral video time.
22@Old Mayfly 16: RE: Replacing Hamilton instead of Jackson: I heard the switch to Hamilton was because some freaked out about replacing a president. Hamilton is my favorite of the FFs but I thought there would be a wonderful sort of justice with replacing Jackson with Wilma Mankiller. The latest I have heard is that Hamilton will not be replaced but will “share” the $10 with a woman.
23You have to be pulling our leg June Bug. I’d love to see a link to that. In terms of this story, I’m off for the summer and could probably pass better for Jewish so why not pay me? Well, I guess I’m not in New York, but there are plenty of Italians there that might look the part.

They got so much bad publicity over the ban of “critical thinking” they changed it in later platforms.
27The reason for replacing Hamilton that has been given is that the $10 was due for redesign anyway. The Bureau of Printing and Engraving would probably have to ask for more money to change a different bill, but the ten was in the budget.
28Oh, and the plan is to replace Hamilton in the printing but keep him in the watermark. Probably would need more money to change the watermark, as that requires changing the way the paper is made.
