SXSW
I’m getting a little too old for most of South By Southwest in Austin. But, many of my younger friends are not. I’ve gotten through to most of them and they are fine. They think it’s sweet of me to check on them, not knowing that’s the job of every Texas woman of a certain age.
It is a tragedy and my heart breaks for those who have lost so much.
There have been excellent reports on Austin’s first responders and that’s reassuring.
The injuries are horrible and so far there has been two deaths. All young people.
Such a terrible tragedy. I was glad to see my friends Vickie and Huey posting on Facebook.
Prayers for those who lost a loved one that they may find some comfort and peace. Prayers for those who are injured that they may have a swift and sure recovery. Prayers for those who witness this horror that they are not constantly reminded of this senseless event. Prayers for the first responders that they may continue to be the ones to step up at a moment’s notice and act without delay.

2Amen
Words fail to express the depth of our condolences to those affected by this tragedy and their families and friends.
3What a horrible thing to have happened, in the midst of a musical celebration by young folks.
Heartfelt sympathy to anyone…… anyone….. affected by this horrible tragedy.
Peace.
4@Edith Ann … I will give you another amen for your heartfelt prayer! Thank you for saying it all with such eloquence!!
5You mean this guy wasn’t invoking his Second Amendment rights by driving in self-defense?
6I’m just grateful that the one not-so-young friend I know who was there, after traveling from Michigan, is fine. But, it came awfully close to him.
7How horrible! My late husband was fond of the music scene in Austin which he was forced to enjoy via TV. He would hum stuff he found on Austin City Limits while enduring chemo. My heart goes out to the injured and certainly to the survivors of the two people who were killed.
Tecum Pax.
8Amid the horror and sorrow, a bright note:
9Rick Perry appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s Show which is being broadcast from Austin and he was booed by the audience.
If I didn’t have to go to SXSW to do it I’d go boo Perry there too. Blessings and healing on all who were involved in this terrible accident.
10Edith Ann’s prayer is worthy of another Amen. Beautifully said.
11So terribly sad. I’m holding all involved in my prayers and in the Light.
12There are better ways to keep Austin weird than driving into a crowd. Thoughts and prayers for the injured, their families, first responders, and all those who witnessed.
