U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson received some protests Monday like other Republican congressmen nationwide during town halls this year, getting drowned out at times with loud boos and receiving 30 seconds of “You Lie” chants.
How the hell is this guy still in the House?

Yep, that was a refreshing video. I hope all those people vote and each of them takes some friends to the polls too.
4This guy is still in the House because Repubs are much better at winning elections than Dems are.
5I would disagree,Lynn. Rethug are much better at stealing elections with vote supression, refusal to count votes, gerrymandering districts, the list go on. But Dems can and will win if they get off their butts and vote.

7Lynn, the Rethugs are so crooked that if everyone and all the angels in heaven turned out to vote, the Dems still wouldn’t have much of a chance. But it looks as if things might be turning around. Malicious redistricting is taking it in the back of the neck in court! Other forms of voter suppression have to take a long walk off a short pier as well.
8Tilphousia, I don’t disagree with your statement, but the sad fact is that a stolen election is still an election win.
I absolutely endorse your call for Dems–and liberals and progressives–not only to get off their butts and vote, but to do so using some common sense. Elections are not about purity. They are about voting for the most progressive candidate who can actually win. Winning counts. Anyone in a key state who could have voted for Clinton but didn’t helped Trump. That’s how elections work.
Note that if Dems mess up in 2020, a census year that triggers redistricting, the Repubs will take gerrymandering and voter suppression to whole new highs. And they will have a Supreme Court that will hold their coats and cheer them on. That’s a result of how Dems/liberals/progressives voted (and failed to vote) in 2016.
