Strike Two
CNN says –
A federal appeals court in New York on Tuesday said the Democrat-controlled US House of Representatives may subpoena President Donald Trump’s bank records from Deutsche Bank and Capital One, dealing another blow to the President’s efforts to block Congress’ effort to obtain his financial records.
It was a split decision 2 to 1, but coming close only counts in horseshoes. Besides, two of the judges were Republican appointees. The one Republican judge holdout was only a partial dissent. She said she’d send it back to the lower court for more details.
So, Jay Sekulow, who is slimy as a snail trail, says they are headed for the Supreme Court. I haven’t trusted those sumbitches since Bush v Gore.

Republicans issue 123-page defense of Trump ahead of Democrats’ impeachment report.
As Clear As Mud –
Designed as a pre-emptive strike on an imminent report from the Democratic majority, the GOP document underlines how evidence presented at the hearings failed to shatter Republicans’ united front.
It also provides a blueprint for House Republicans to defend the US president at Wednesday’s judiciary committee hearing and for their Senate counterparts to acquit him in a trial.
Democrats accuse Trump of attempting to bribe the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, by making a White House meeting and nearly $400m in military aid conditional on Ukraine announcing two investigations that would boost Trump politically.
The 123-page Republican report was prepared for Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan and Michael McCaul, the ranking members on the House intelligence, oversight and foreign affairs committees, respectively.
It directly contradicts the testimony of career diplomats and makes little attempt to get to grips with the devastating evidence of Gordon Sondland, the US ambassador to the European Union, who spoke about the existence of a quid pro quo, or Fiona Hill, former top Russia expert at the White House, who warned against falling for Moscow’s propaganda about Ukraine’s role in the 2016 election.
Instead it spins the affair as a Democratic plot. Its executive summary begins with the premise that nearly 63 million Americans from around the country elected Trump in 2016 but now 231 House Democrats in Washington are “trying to undo the will of the American people”. It accuses the party of seeking to impeach the president from day one.
“They are trying to impeach President Trump because some unelected bureaucrats chafed at an elected President’s ‘outside the beltway’ approach to diplomacy,” it says.

Please don’t demean snails by associating them with Republicans.
Any animal that come out at night, that loves beer, and leaves a dried-up trail of slime can’t be all bad. Republicans, on the other hand, are all bad if they support Trump.

“Republicans are entirely unperturbed by Trump’s use of his office to solicit foreign interference in the next election on his behalf.”
Counter point –
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, called the GOP argument “ridiculous.”
“Donald Trump never mentioned any valid concerns or corruption in his phone calls with the Ukrainian leader,” Lieu tweeted Monday. “Trump’s concerns were very specific: the DNC server in Ukraine conspiracy theory and the Bidens.”
Others pointed to testimony last month by U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, who said Trump merely wanted Ukraine to publicly announce an investigation into the Bidens, not actually conduct one – a claim that undermines the GOP’s insistence that the president acted out of “deep-seated” concerns over corruption.

1) the Judge who voted to further delay and drag out the suit was one of demented donnies appointees. Just paying off political masters on getting seated.
2) Other judges who are slowing down lawsuits by extended periods of “contemplation”, referral back to lower courts, asking for rearguements and outraged opposition against any law that might hold demented donnie to account are good federalist society foot soldiers paying their debts. Look at addled donnie’s appointee as a D.C. District judge Trevor McFadden who will not even schedule hearing ( 129 days and counting) on whether the old Teapot dome law requiring congressional access to presidential taxes. Not only that but he has refused filing from house D’s to expedite the case or transfer it to another judge.
The twits judicial misappointments are also doing their best to throw snd into the gears of justice.
Heck it worked for McConnell with Merrick garland so why not run out the clock.
P.S. Thuglicans are still claiming that demented donnie as Rocky is honest I refer you to

Is it just me or does this all sound like a major battle plan with all the troops squeezing in from all sides? If so, I like it.
