Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Sure, I’ll call your mom. Just get us connected. I’m guessing she’s pretty entertaining, being your mother and all.
1OK.
Happy Mothers Day, Momma!
And you too, Susan.
2Happy Mothers’ Day to Momma, who keeps us all in line, whether she realizes it or not.
Nan (H)
3Happy Mom’s Day to you all. Especially to Momma. 🙂 You did good Momma!
4You demand, I comply.
5Happy Mothers Day, Juanitajean!
6My comment has already been taken. Going to the yunugun’s house for a Mother’s day Picnic.
7How’d the skool bored elexion tern out?
8They’re just too bored to be skooled.
9Happy Mom’s Day to JJ and her Momma!! Love & Hugs from Colorado!!
10Didn’t have to call.
Took her and Dad to lunch.
Just saying…..
11I tried to call mine this morning and got VM. Always one to follow orders, I tried again – success! Thanks JJ. Happy Mothers Day to all the ladies!
12Mama is rockin that badass jacket!
13Yes’m. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, MOMMA!!! Thanks for sharing Susan with all the world!
14Happy Mother’s Day to Momma, Miss Juanitajean herownself, and Susan. I asked my own momma where she’d like to go for Mother’s Day: “Church and then the grocery store.” So off we went.
Lord knows where I’d be without my own momma. I’m guessing her answer would be the Big House in Huntsville. Hard to argue with that. Thanks, momma!
15Thanks for the pic, JJ. Two gorgeous ladies.
16Happy Mother’s Day y’all
17I lost my dear Mama some years ago, and the world hasn’t been the same without her, so I will take you up on your offer to share yours — Happy Mother’s Day Momma! Also Happy Mother’s Day to JJ and all the other ladies — best wishes to all of you!
18I’m sharing Momma, then. Happy Mother’s Day, Momma! I hope all the Moms who read this site had a wonderful day surrounded with love.
19What a wonderful picture!
Missed my mom yesterday. She has been gone 7 years next month.
Happy Mother’s day to you both!
20Juanita Jean, I’m sharing Momma too. Love to both of you. I hope your day was as good as mine.
21Love the photo of you and Momma. I had a great chat (over an hour) with mine last night after all the hoopla of her day had calmed down. And got to talk to both of my Austin girl and my Boston girl. Still wish Scotty could beam them to me (or me to them).
22Hilary, when Momma gets done with her morning coffee, she’s gonna be on YOUR doorstep discussin’ your terms of reference regarding her jacket!
23Glad it ain’t ME!!!
(Good Luck- write when ya heal!)
Happy Belated Mother’s Day to you both!! Two charmers for sure.
24Two elegant ladies!
25A big shout out – HAPPY MOM’S DAY – to your mama, JJ. Now… if I knew her better, I would buy her Maya Angelou’s new book “Mom & Me & Mom” which Bob Shieffer referred to in his interview of Dr. Angelou on Face the Nation yesteday. She is a grand lady & philosopher of our modern times, but her life story is captivating. Since I don’t know your mama well, I’ll let you get her that book.
Oh… and if you can, bring up his interview of her & run it to the end where he recites a poem he wrote years ago about his mother.
26Keep that sweet best-friend-in-the-world mama close!…mine’s gone now…
