‘Spainin’ It.

January 07, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okey dokey, Twitter this morning.

“What the process is” is a white man term meaning –  Wait to see what Mitch says.

Mitt, Honey, a subpoena is a piece of paper issued by the court or the congress or anybody who passed the bar that says, to bring your butt to court.  It was laid out in the Magna Damn Carta.  That’s the process. If you want to hear from a witness and he says he will only testify if under subpoena, you type up a piece of paper saying consider yourself subpoenaed and get somebody to deliver it to him.

There ya go. Go chew on that process and see if you can come up with something better.

Technically, in Texas and elsewhere, subpoenas are also issued by “grand juries”.

I may be finding out how, real soon, as I’ve just been summoned as a potential grand juror [that’s about all I’ll say: “Art. 20.02. PROCEEDINGS SECRET”…]. Had a lot of jury summons before, but never a ‘grand’ one..
Sounds real interesting, would that its’ scope extended to DC…

The Republican leader has made clear that he hopes the Senate will acquit the president as quickly as possible.
McConnell’s remarks are significant, because, according to Senate rules, lawmakers in the upper chamber must take an oath pledging to act as an “impartial justice” before engaging in an impeachment trial.

Curious, 1) does each subpoena have to be voted on or is it decided by Mitch and 2) could the President be subpoenaed?

Sandridge#1 – I had a worker that was called to federal grand jury and she went every Monday for a loooonnnnggg time. Really played havoc with my audit schedules!

Grandma Ada @4, been retired a long time so it wouldn’t mess much up here ;] .
I’m curious about the “voir dire” process, who conducts it, since there’s no defense, or even a judge, involved; if I understand it, must be a DA function.
