So … ?
Okay, so there’s this soybean farmer in Ohio who used to be the County Republican Party Chairman. He’s had a change of heart.
A soybean farmer told CNBC on Monday that he is so disgusted with the White House trade policy that he wouldn’t vote for Donald Trump again if the president literally walked on water.
That’s nice. It really is. I mean, one less vote for Trump.
Here’s the deal, though. This farmer explained …
“At the end of the day my name is Chris Gibbs, it’s not Judas. I’m not going to sell my political moorings for 30 pieces of silver.”
“So, no, I’m out,” he concluded.
Look, if this guy had any political moorings at all he never would have voted for Trump. Trump told you exactly who he was and what he was going to do before the election.
Thanks to SGray for the heads up.
I agree too little too late.
1If he wished to attempt to make amends for his moral degeneracy and unbridled greed that led him to vote for the slime he would publish every note, memo, communications he had from any thuglicaan or related organization whether it was marked “confidential” or not.
If that causes legal problems for him is not worthy of consideration.
He cannot protect his whack job freinds and claim to have moved on at the same time.
Pick a lane and stay in it.

2Based on the photo of Mr. Soybean Farmer I’d guess he may have heard this oldie but goodie on the radio in his youth:
My mommy said not to put beans in my ears
3Beans in my ears, beans in my ears
…
You can’t hear the teacher with beans in your ears,
Beans in your ears, beans in your ears
…
What’s that you say, let’s put beans in our ears
Beans in our ears, beans in our ears
…
You’ll have to speak up I got beans in my ears
Beans in my ears, beans in my ears

4Another one of those who refused to vote for a woman no matter how golden her resume. Hey, you got what you wanted! Those lumps you are taking are all yours!
5Moorings? Dude, your moorings are rotten stumps.
6So will he actually stay home? Or just leave the oval for president empty?
If he stays home, he might at least do his state some good by not voting for his congress-varmint or governor or his state legislature or city hall.
If by “out” he means staying home — I’ll take it.
7I have NO sympathy for these people.
They made a pac with the devil. They can suffer the consequences.
And vista him any time they wish.
You are so right JJ. Trump told them exactly what he was going to do.
8And it wasn’t feed the poor and take care of the sick.
Anybody who voted for him and gets screwed deserves what they get.
9Having said that, the alternative reality media they get their news from continually telling them that Trump pissing on them is holy lemonade might actually get a few to start getting their news from…you know, news.
I’m not holding my breath for large numbers.
But their fellow lemonade connesuirs would definitely listen to one of their own before they’d listen to us.
And when the hell did Nick Nolte start farming?
10I have NO sympathy for anyone who admits voting for trump then whines about *things.*
Anyone remember the ’70s Toyota ad? “You asked for it, you got it…”
11Let’s not push him down too hard: at least he DID change his mind.
12Sounds like ole Chris is full of his own home grown beans. I’ve always heard if you’ve got a headache you might get relief by not hitting yourself in the head. Chris and his group just go out and buy another hammer.
13Good point, Linda Phipps. There are plenty who haven’t changed their minds, at least not yet. There’s still another year for Trump to further destroy their lives.
14I don’t get the Judas reference at all, though. What does he mean by that?
15Exactly Jere(15) judas was a good guy doing what he was told to do. I could never understand why he was considered a villain?? And this farmer CLAIMS he changed his mind, but did he? Ok No trump in 2020 but will he still vote for a different rePUKEian which makes him no different!
16Jere – I would guess that he is comparing the 30 pieces of silver that Judas got for his betrayal to Trump’s attempts to alleviate the economic hardship his tariffs inflicted on the farmers in hopes that they would voted for him again in 2020.
What’s not said here but still very interesting is that ol’ Chris was apparently OK with children put in cages, sending sick people back to their home countries to die for lack of advanced medical care, etc., etc. ad nauseam etc. It’s only the hurtful trade policy that counts with him. Yet another fine KKKristian.
17@twocrows: I agree with you, but I won’t be terribly upset if he votes for the folks down-ballot, so long as he leaves the president/VP space unmarked. I’d prefer that he stayed home, though.
18Just like a repub for ya. I got mine so screw the rest of youse. Only now it’s “I Had mine and now I’m screwed liked the rest of youse”. Just stay home dude.
19“But, but, I’m WHITE!”, he protested. “It’s not supposed to happen to ME!”
20Let’s hope that a lot more people who voted for Trump in 2016 will vote “Oh HELL no” in 2020.
