  1. make him apologize from home. Both he and Moscow Mitch have good candidates running against them. Please send both to Congress instead.

As to megasoid’s post – is there ANYONE that Kate McKinnon can’t play? She amazes me.

Sham and shame both work on Leningrad Lindsey. Other than the ***king moron, the two most needed to be gone are LL and Moscow Mitch. Although any scum with R for rat after their name is in need of replacement. Might even bring some of the dogs like Manchin into line when their treachery can no longer hide in the forest of rats.

JJ, this is OT but it is so well written and brings out simple facts reporters are ignoring. Do with it what you will….

I hope that sign is mounted on chain link and other fences all over North Carolina. And maybe some billboards to go with it! BTW, when will we see any sign of those running against Cornyn? Beto got close to Cruz because he hustled.

  5. OT – Florida Republicans’ Voter Suppression Efforts Are Backfiring

Edit: Florida Republicans have been working for the past year to prevent nearly 1.4 million former felons from getting their right to vote back. They passed a law last year that says that these former felons must repay all of the court fees and other legal fees from their trials and incarceration in order to get their right to vote back.

And so they have been working diligently for the last 13 months to try to prevent the former felons from actually being able to vote because they understand, these Republicans do, adding 1.4 million new voters to the voting roles here in the state of Florida is absolutely a game changer. We have no idea yet how this is going to play out and Republicans pretty much figured it wasn’t gonna work well for them. So they enacted that little poll tax. They passed a law, SB 7066, that says that, hey, former felons, before you can get your right to vote back, you have to pay back all the court fees.

    Watch Video or read transcript:

But a loophole in the law has allowed Democrat-controlled counties to waive these fees and get more people on the voting rolls. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

So here’s what could possibly happen. We could see other counties in this state start to do this as Republicans realize, oh wait, more Democrats are being registered than Republicans. We’re in a lot of trouble. Or Republicans, the ones who control the state could try to rewrite the law. They could try to pass an amendment that prevents this from happening. But that is not going to pass the test when it comes to being upheld by the Florida court system. Because here’s the thing, it’s not just that these blue counties are forgiving the debt. It’s that they’re also going through, identifying the people who will have the hardest time paying them and they’re fast tracking those people in the system to get their debts wiped out or to arrange a payment plan. And that’s the other part. That’s why the Republicans don’t have much to fight this on because for some of the people, they are arranging a payment plan.

  6. ‘It means you’re going to lose’: Bernie Sanders answers Trump on rise in polls

Edit: Bernie Sanders had a curt response for Donald Trump on Sunday, after the president noted the Vermont senator’s strong showing in the Democratic primary race and asked: “So what does this all mean?”

“It means you’re going to lose,” Sanders tweeted back.

The 78-year-old democratic socialist has rebounded from a heart attack last year, climbing polls of the Democratic field as the Iowa caucuses approach. In the realclearpolitics.com average for that state, which kicks off the primary on 3 February, Sanders leads former South Bend, Indiana, mayor Pete Buttigieg by 21.3% to 21%.

In the same site’s average for New Hampshire, second to vote on 11 February, he leads former vice-president Joe Biden by 21.5% to 18.8%.

Biden leads the national average by nine points and had a boost in a Washington Post poll of African American voters released on Saturday, which put him 28 points ahead of Sanders nationally with that key voting bloc.

Changing tack after a screed of complaint about his looming impeachment trial, Trump tweeted on Sunday: “Wow! Crazy Bernie Sanders is surging in the polls, looking very good against his opponents in the Do Nothing Party. So what does this all mean? Stay tuned!”

In keeping his reply short and choosing not to tune into the abusive nickname the president has given him, Sanders had a little more success than House speaker Nancy Pelosi, who Trump earlier called “Crazy Nancy”.

Edit: ‘He Could Win the Caucuses,’ Pollster Says as Bernie Sanders Leads Gold-Standard Iowa Survey for First Time
The “gold-standard” poll from Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom has Sanders (I-Vt.) at 20% followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) at 17%, former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 16%, and former Vice President Joe Biden at 15%. The margin of error is +/- 3.7 percentage points.
Sanders saw a five-point surge in support from November, when he secured just 15%. This is the first time in either of his runs for president that Sanders has led this poll.
“There’s no denying that this is a good poll for Bernie Sanders,” J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co., which conducted the poll, told the Register
    Sanders: 20% (+5)

    Warren: 17% (+1)
    Buttigieg: 16% (-9)
    Biden: 15% (-)
    Klobuchar: 6% (-)
    Yang: 5% (+2)
    Booker: 3% (-)
    Steyer: 2% (-1)
    Gabbard: 2% (-1)
    Bloomberg: 1% (-1)
    Not sure: 11% (+6)

No other candidate polled above 0%.Register. “He leads, but it’s not an uncontested lead.”

Thanks for that link. It’s not just that it hits the nail on the head. It’s that that kinda nail pounding has to keep happening.
    Repeatedly.
    Over and over again.
Because reporting these things once with the expectation that it will make a lasting impact is repeatedly bringing a knife to a Thompson submachine gun fight.

  8. Even the legitimate journalists are contributing to the problem when they spend time, energy, and our attention refuting the outright lies and alternate reality being CONSTANTLY fed to the people. Without FOLLOWING UP ON THEIR REPORTING.
Real journalists are doing their jobs. And a sizable portion of our fellow citizens never hear it. But more importantly, some percentage are hearing it. Occasionally. While being bombarded by the alternate reality machine.

  9. What I find disheartening, in more ways then one, is that the Iranian gov. has proven to be more honest and trustworthy then the US gov.
The Iranians owned up to their mistake.
The US gov is still trying to find a plausible excuse for murder.
The 4 embassy’s under threat up from 1 and different from other excuses shows roy cohn passsed on tail gunner joes schtick to the demented one .
