Siempre Hay Mañana

Now, if you were going to give awards to the most happily diverse place in America, Maricopa County, Arizona, would come directly above Jasper, Texas.

Arizona’s Maricopa county listed the wrong date in the Spanish version of voter registration cards, a development likely to further complicate tense relations between local authorities and Latino residents.

Siempre hay un día después de mañana.

  1. And is the date later than the cutoff? Will they accept them by the date printed? Will the person responsible be held accountable?

  4. What the hell does all that say?

I have this “Little Free Library” in my front yard. I have agonized over putting Spanish language books in there. …. Most of my neighbors have “other than” English as their first language.

Basically, I’m pragmatic enough to not care in what language people read, as long as they read. But, as someone who has taught English as Second Language…. I know how important it is that people in this country read, and speak English.

Because, how are you going to stomp on somebody’s head about this ……….. if not in English???

    This is crap.

  6. Do I hear the sound of hooves? Is that Sheriff Joe rounding up the posse to look into this? After all, he sent several deputies to Hawaii (outside his jurisdiction) to check up on Obama’s birth certificate.

Do you think that’s even possible at this moment?

  8. Arpaio is busy right now, explaining why Maricopa taxpayers are on the hook for over 3 million dollars to settle the latest lawsuit against him by the family of an inmate who died because she was refused treatment for her diabetes.

Sheriff Joe should be practiced in explaining how people die in his jails. While I lived there a young man was put in a stress position in a chair and died. Unbeknown to Joe, the young man was from a well to do family and they sued him and won a very large settlement also.

  10. Funny how these things always seem to happen in areas likely to vote Dem, and the error is never that the election is earlier than the actual date.
