Sidney Powell
Sidney Powell, a lawyer so crazy that even Rudy Giuliani thinks she’s missing some sockets from her set, has decided to enter the exciting world of Super PACs.
Oh yeah, this is going to be fun. Just what every conspiracy loudmouthed lawyer needs – the legal ability to raise unlimited amounts of money to push any political agenda she chooses.
And wanna know what makes this even more fun? Her partner in the PAC is Mike Lindell, the My Pillow guy. They decided to name their PAC www.RestoreTheRepublicPAC.Com. Go on, click it – nothing there. I suspect they need to raise money to pay for a website.
But first they need to find somewhere to put the money when they get it. The FEC asks that question on the application for a PAC.
Sidney says their bank is Arkansas-based Bank OZK (formerly known as Bank of the Ozarks).
That’s nice because it is a real bank and most of the time Sidney just makes stuff up. But just when you think she’s finding a few sockets the bank speaks up.
“We have done a thorough inquiry and determined this entity has no account at Bank OZK, has no account pending, and has never had an account here. Per our established policy, the PAC is not eligible for an account with Bank OZK,” Susan Blair, executive vice president and spokeswoman for Bank OZK, said. “We have policies in place prohibiting accounts for certain entities. We don’t publicly disclose the specifics of those policies.”
Damn, Sidney, you ain’t got no account at that bank, Honey, and it doesn’t look like you’re gonna have one any time in this millennium because they’ve got secret rules against people like you which, at least in my opinion, everybody ought to.
Oh, there’s more.
The address of the Super PAC—10130 Northlake Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida—would appear to place it in a strip mall alongside businesses like Subway, Dunkin Donuts and Supercuts.
I wonder if Rudy Giuliani got it for her.
Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.
Why not just locate the PAC at Lindell’s pillow factory? I’m sure they could put the desk near the bathroom.
1Like a lot of other repugnantican grifters, I suspect this has more to do with raising money for other purposes such as legal fees. Powell is already being sued by Dominion and lindell has been threatening them to sue him.
2Why would a bank not want a PAC account?
The only thing I can think of is that if in the in-flows are untraceable, that might make a bank wary about money-laundering; but if that’s it, where do the other PACs bank?
Fun historical fact: the original PAC was the Political Action Committee of the CIO, and rightwingers just hated it.
3Went ahead and clicked on the link and found this exciting mission statement;
“Restore The Republic PAC is for Non-Partisan Government Corruption,”
There’s more, but that was enough for me.
4My guess is they opened a new branch of Four Seasons Total Landscaping in that strip mall and plan to base the PAC there.
5Gazebo #4 – I love it when they admit up front they are FOR corruption!
6What’s going on here? A strip mall and no mattress store? A mattress is the perfect accessory to an overpriced pillow and is a great place to stash the rubes’ cash.

re: “Non-Partisan Government Corruption”
I suppose that means they are willing to turn a blind eye to partisan government corruption, and focus on the more traditional sort with participants of BOTH parties trying to win government contracts and their lucrative pay-offs.
8I was born in West Palm Beach. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that my people moved to the west coast when I was 7months old, almost 70 years ago. I don’t think the place has improved since my mother found a coral snake trying to slither into my bassinet. She said the snakes were better than the politicians but they both were a good reason to move.
9My first job out of college was at Pratt & Whitney. It lasted until P&W found out about my antiwar protesting. About 8 hours.
Most people would be surprised to learn that P&W tested jet engines there because there was no one around to object to the noise.
