Short Memories

Okay, so Jim Jordan is still running for Speaker of the House despite outcries from members of the Ohio State Wrestling team.

Jordan was formerly the chairman of the conservative Freedom Caucus. In his letter, he advocated for the repeal of Obamacare, welfare reform, and increased border security. Jordan was formerly an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University, where allegations of sexual abuse by a team doctor have come to light. Several former OSU athletes said Jordan knew about the abuse and did nothing.

Hummmm ….

Do they not remember the very conservative Dennis Hastert who was hand-picked by Tom DeLay to become speaker of the house?  He was also a wrestling coach.

Ya know, it seems to me that Republicans have enough sex scandals right now.  I cannot image why they are rallying around more.

Be social and share!

Jim Jordan has pissed off many Rs on the Hill and only has a dozen backers for his ill-fated run to be Speaker. So not even half the Freedom Caucus is backing him. No doubt because it is well-known that he is dumber than a box of rocks.

The allegations of his knowing about the sex abuse are most likely true. Probably thought it was typical hazing or something equally stupid. Hope he ends up in jail at least out of office. He will not be the next speaker.

Remember Hastert? Lyin’ Ryan has spent his tenure as speaker invoking the “Hastert Rule.” They’re incredibly irony challenged. The Freedumb Caucus has nothing to do with the word freedom as they intend to impose their flavor of Sharia Law restricting women’s reproductive health rights, denying LGBTQ rights and restricting immigration to white bellies.

Jim Jordan is the flip side of st00pid not covered by Matt Gaetz. Even the snacilbupeR realize he’s an idiot. His chance of becoming speaker is slimmer than the odds of his re-election.

  3. Russpublicans have no problem with sexual pervs. That’s one of the chief characteristics of the party, especially the males.

Rethugs don’t learn from their mistakes because they won’t admit they have committed any. Hence Jordan (who’s Hastert?) pushes forward despite the looming scandal.

  5. It will be really hard for him to be the speaker of the house when the house is majority Democrat. Vote, people, vote.

  6. mac, Dennis Hastert was once upon a time Speaker of the House. He looked like a teddy bear but not as bright as one. His political career ended for good and all when someone found out about a sex scandal and money from Hastert to keep the scandal a secret when he was a wrestling coach many years ago. The money was “listed” as something else. He was trying to cheat his fate the same way the Golden Gibbon is trying to cheat or rather having a proxy, Cohan, do the cheating for him.

I love the fact that no matter how much Jordan postures, his voters get the final say. Can a whole congressional district be shamed?

    We shall find out…

Two phrases which, when they appear in a headline, mean something bad is coming: “wrestling coach” and “youth pastor.”
