Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Love it!!! Audio is not that great but will be much better after a good mixing! Hopefully, it will see formal release. Until that day it is now safely deposited in my archive.
1Yes as a matter of fact Sheryl Crow does rock, And I thought that before I saw the evidence that she had an appropriate sense of humor.
2“The reports of my death have been great exaggerated” done to music better than Twain.
3And for those who have been cremated, the phrase is “churning in the urn.”
4Excellent! That is how a retort should be fashioned – with talent, humor and a great tune.
5Rhea, lol, “churning in the urn” has a certain rhythm and blues potential. Great beginnings of a riff and refrain for “Ode to Dolt45.”
Dolt45 so wants military attention and seeks creds he doesn’t deserve. But I’d be happy to honor him with a little “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Let’s bury this mother and get on the bus.”
6Bwahahahahahahaha! That was outstanding. I love a woman with attitude and resolve.
That reminds me, why is drama queen John McCain getting all the credit for stopping the snacilbupeR Kill Americans Bill when LISA Murkowski and SUSAN Collins withstood threats and dire warnings to vote against it? Can’t be because they’re brave, courageous, strong WOMEN – can it? Grrrr.
7Debbo, also being ignored by the media yappers – the Honorable Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) who flew in from Hawaii while being treated for stage4 kidney cancer to cast her vote with her Democratic colleagues. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Hawaii is a considerable distance further than AZ from Dee Cee.
Not to detract from the fact that Sen McCain eventually did do the right thing regarding his vote, but ignoring those three lady Senators would be an act of misogyny. More needs to be done to thank Senator Hirono who placed country before self. And, we should be lighting a fire under Ryan Zinke for his repeated attempts at blackmail and abuse of Senator Murkowski. Nor should the threats against Senator Collins from pipsqueaks in the House be taken lightly.
8Sheryl Crow wins the internet today. Hands down!
9Watching Sheryl makes me realize what a loathsome creature Lance Armstrong is for dumping her.
10Lol
11Jane & PKM, Sen. Hirono has been a star in the Twitterverse, along with Collins and Murkowski. It’s mostly been the big news orgs who’ve been fawning over McCain like he’s the 2nd coming of JC hisownself. Nauseating. Yeah, misogyny has become ever more popular among the snacilbupeR/Wing nut/NaziKKK types. And racism, also seeing a resurgence in popularity. Ahhh, the good old days.
12Well, I sent thank you’s to all four of them.
13Gosh, the way all the Senate women were overlooked on the Skinny Bill vote in preference for McCain reminds me of the way all the women students in law school were treated 50 years ago. The law school building was on the under-grad campus and we got to see a lot of the women law students after a full day of classes led by men for men. They were constantly psychologically battered. I don’t know how they did it. The majority of them did graduate. Have no idea how they fared in getting into a law firm but I can state, after doing temp work a lot in law firms (law librarian), that ta law firm all those years ago was no place for a woman. Have heard with my own human ears lawyers state that the last thing needed was a smart woman on board. Yup, you’re right. Once upon a time i wanted to be a lawyer. Those were the days . . .
14Steely Dan did churning in the urn-called Reeling in the years. Rumour has it Kid Suck has picked Nugent as his vice-dung heap and spokesman,draft-dodging patriot and ambassador to women’s groups.
15Ignoring women fits the wingnut narrative to a t. Wingnuts gave every group that lobbied for changes in Drumpfcare what they wanted except for the women’s group. Go figure.
16“I’m not dead yet!”
17-Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Drumpf got some good news from boyfriend Putin today just in time for tedious Monday morning Tweeting.
Putin expelled 755 American diplomats today. Drumpf can lay claim to having brought 800 well paying American jobs back to America.
The timing stinks of collusion.
