Reminder

Here’s what I’m saying:  These old rusty sumbitches need to go.

Grassley is 85 years old.  He has been in the senate since 1980.  Before that, he was in the House representing the Iowa 3rd district.  Before that, he was in the Iowa state house from 1959 to 1975.  The man has not has a real job since 1959.

Hell, he can’t remember what he had for breakfast.

  1. He and all the other stale old geezers with their antediluvian attitudes need to be voted out.

  2. This guy has a hard time keeping track of his invisible glasses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxn4bLf1qYs

  3. I remember every women I have had sex with. If you don’t then you have been doing it too much, too often, and with too many. And you have too much money. I can’t afford to do sex so often I can’t remember them!
But then again if you have the money to use prostitutes every week, you would soon not remember them.

  4. Is there a spreadsheet somewhere of senators and another for representatives sortable by dob or age? Voters need to know when they are voting FOR some 80+ year old old fart that hasn’t done an honest day’s work since the first half of the previous century. Good G-d!

  5. I’d like to see his financial statement and net worth.
I’ll bet it isn’t reflective of the salaries that he has received from all of these government jobs, and I would like to see how he got there.

  6. macphersonme@yahoo.com says:

Last night, Lawrence O’Donnell player videos of Grassley explaining why it was the right thing to do to have the FBI investigate Professor Hill’s allegations against Clarence Thomas. What a hypocrite!

  7. Personally, I think it’s time for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford to call in Michael Avenatti.

  9. The Surly Professor says:

Shortly after Goldwater retired from the Senate, he gave the reason why in an interview. I don’t have the citation directly available, but he roughly said “One day I got worked up over something and started to write a bill to address it. Then I realized that no one else was upset about it and I was giving the response of an 80 year old man. That’s when I realized that I needed to retire.”

In the 1970s Goldwater was also the senior statesman among Republicans and so was the person who went and told Nixon that the game was over and Nixon had to resign. Can anyone imagine ANY Republican senator nowadays doing that to Trump? Of course not, and Trump has already exceeded Nixon in corruption, attempts to overturn the rule of law, and in bat quano insanity.

Jeez, I miss the days when Goldwater was the biggest and most dangerous conservative politician the U.S. had.
