Collin Allred is a former NFL football player, then lawyer, now Congressman in Dallas. He whipped up on Pistol Pete Session in 2018 and Honey, I was so excited about it that I danced naked on the back porch.

Now Republicans are looking for somebody to beat him.
It ain’t gonna be easy because he’s already raised over half a million dollars and is wildly popular in the district. But guess who is already announcing they are considering running? Allen West. You remember Allen West, the crazy dude in Florida who won a congressional seat one time and then promptly lost every other time he ran so he moved to Texas for a Texas-sized butt whipping.
Allen West famous stuff:
“I believe there’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party who are members of the Communist Party.”

I think he’s really low-balling that one.

It’s very obvious that he doesn’t listen to the first part of his sentence before he gets to the end of it.

2New Zealand already has done the same. Australia, Canada and UK haave strict gun laws.
So the nra’s sponsors, gun manufactorers, must fight to keep the only market they have in the developed world, if only as a “beard” to mask illegal sales to in developing countries that have strict laws against them but poor enforcement – you know following US example of poor enforcement, by design, but the US has poor enforcement of weak laws.
So with that record of aichevement while on the nra board who would doubt west’s competence.

3I wanna see him ride around Texas on his motorcycle with that gun strapped around his neck. Maybe try a listening tour of Louie Gohmert’s district, see what other drivers have to say when they roll down their windows.
4Matt Gaetz wants to leave Florida and run for the Senate in Alabama. Allen West wants to leave Florida and run for the House in Texas. It doesn’t speak well of the Republiklan’s ability to attract local talent. Or of Florida.

6Sandino doesn’t go far enough. As a life-long Christian I think it’s time for some Christian groups to give up ideas that became obsolete by the 2nd century B.C.E., ideas and customs that Jesus himself railed against.
