Released The Funds But Not The Fantasy

Emily over at the GSA released the funds but not the attitude.  Trump says he’s still fighting.  And he will win. But first, he has to move out.

  1. It’s about damned time.

  2. Steve from Beaverton says:

Yup. He’ll never admit he lost. He will move out taking his reality show on the road after he moves out- paid speeches/rallies and his network after declaring his 2024 run. Imagine how expensive it will be for the taxpayer provided SS. However, this is contingent on the court cases for which he’ll be the star defendant. He’ll also have to pay for his travel, etc., if he has any money.
Waiting for Mitch McC to say anything and how he spins it.

  3. What are the odds that the motivating factor behind GSA Emily’s decision was a desire not to face Katie Porter and her lethal white board?

  4. Is that internet fantasy world Second Life still around? Maybe Trump can go and be President there.

Deb @3. Your comment is hilarious and true! I’d certainly be quaking in my boots if I had to face Katie Porter and her white board.

  6. Rich in Fla says:

Well Emily can just go jump in lake for all the whining she did in her letter.

  7. Deb, that is the best answer possible, thank you so much.

  8. Deb@3 : Katie Porter and the Whiteboard of Doom might make a good movie title. Cue Indiana Jones theme…

  9. I would absolutely watch, Katie Porter and the Whiteboard of Doom!

  10. LOL, I guess we all agree about the terrors of Katie and The White Board.

  11. What a day. Imagine the day Princess Sparkletwat, Dimwit Jr, and that second unnamed boy had after President-elect Biden announced some of his appointments.

  13. Bob Boland says:

While I’m glad that the Drumpf will be moving out, I still have one concern (well, one major concern. There’s a raft of lesser concerns). He leaves office, New York indicts him and all of his spawn (well, not Barron), they go to trial and Drumpf is convicted of at least some of his multitudinous crimes and is sentenced to prison. (This isn’t the concern). Now he has already announced that he will be running in 2024, presumably from whatever state prison New York sends him to.
Here’s the concern. While in most states a felon currently serving a sentence can’t vote, to the best of my knowledge there is neither a Federal nor state law against running for office while in jail.
Win, lose or draw Drumpf being able to continue to thrust himself into the limelight will just perpetuate the craziness of his followers, with all of the damage they can potentially cadse.

  14. Harry Eagar says:

Bon Boland, I do not anticipate trump or any of his family being convicted. It takes only one fanatic to hang a jury and odds are that there will be more than one of those on any jury.

Just as I do not anticipate many, if any, convictions among the thousands charged in the summer protests. Same reason.

  15. Buttermilk Sky says:

No phones allowed in prison, so no tweets. Obviously no hate rallies. How can he run?

People will remind you that Eugene Debs ran for president while in prison in 1920, winning 3.4 percent of the vote — impressive for a Socialist even not in prison. But he had run in four previous elections and was a respected public figure. If they manage to “lock him up,” trump will be forgotten.

  16. Grandma Ada says:

I hope some good video of his majesty leaving are on YouTube, because I know I’ll want to watch it over and over, regular speed, fast speed or slo mo – I want to see them all!

    Harry Eagar @14 …
the jury would be formed by the citizens in the place of prosecution — and Manhattan went 84.5% for Biden in 2020. That skews the odds a bit.

I’m not certain, but I think names and party affiliations are public record, so even more people with a strong belief in guilt or innocence can be stricken from the jury.
