Really? Really, Comey, Really?

October 29, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, here’s the deal – the emails are not from Hillary or to her.  They may be duplicates and Comey has not even seen them.

Matthew Miller, former Justice Department spokesman, rolled his eyes so far back in his head that he could see yesterday.

The news media went nuts, saying the investigation was “reopened.”

Actually, translated from the legalese, Comey said, “Hey, been missing me?  We discovered that Anthony Weiner’s wife used his computer once or maybe more, we don’t know for sure, and there’s some emails on there, none to or from Clinton.  We’re gonna get around to reading them pretty soon.  Just thought you’d want to know.  Have a nice weekend, y’all.”

I’m strongly considering becoming a cloistered nun.

  1. Am a member of a tribe with very little confidence in Comey from day one. What is important – as you illustrated, JJ – is what Comey DID NOT SAY. Unfortunately there are way too many people in this country who do not read below the head lines. That at 24 hour news cycles. By Monday there should be some clarity on this and it hopefully will bode well for Hillary. I will be at her local campaign office later today volunteering. In the mean time, Kellyann is not smart enough to throw a blanket over her client’s head and bundle him into the nearest locked closet for the duration. What he has already blabbed from a cranium with an echo chamber will have a way of turning on him like so many of his previous blatherings.

  2. I’m sorry I can’t remember who but one of the guests on Lawrence O’Donnell last night said that the State Department computers were difficult to print from so Huma had a habit of forwarding some emails to another email account for the purpose of printing them. That leads me to believe that these are emails they’ve already seen.

  3. Comeys resignation should be on the Presidents desk on Monday.

    3
  4. It now appears that this was a clumsy attempt by Comey to protect himself from future criticism, with complete disregard for the fairness of the electoral process.

    4
  5. So, BS and CYA in the extreme from Comey.

    5
  6. @Lisbeth–Amen to that.

    6
  7. Please tell me that the President (Obama) can get rid of Comey on November 9. The guy is too dishonest for a law enforcement position. This is the second time he has tried to sleaze the election by spinning what is supposed to be a simple, factual statement.

Something I’ve not seen addressed – why would Houma Abedin be sharing a computer or phone with her husband? Can they not afford two, one for each? Also, why was she not using her work computer for such activities that should be secure and tied into her account at work? I used to work from home and was required to use the company-issued, secured laptop to do that work. I could print to my office but I believe I could also print to my home printer. This all seems so bogus to me!

  9. The Director of the FBI is a 10 year appointment (theoretically so as to prevent partisanship), so he can re-sign but can not be fired.

These are in all likelihood duplicate emails, none are from Hillary do just do a comparison, (we have the technology for that – software), he’s had this computer for 5 weeks, he waited until now….

He was obligated to notify Congress but not the President or the subject of the investigation. He didn’t say he was reopening the investigation because, technically it was never closed. Congress felt no constraints to act responsibly.

People have made there minds up this will not have an effect other than to dampen their enthusiasm. Don’t let that happen, double down, give money if you can, make calls, drive people to the polls, and for God’s sake vote!

  10. Sorry about the grammatical and spelling errors, danged auto correct thinks it knows what it’s doing. Two days of campaigning and I’m typing on a cell phone! with its trying screen!

    10
  11. Now it turns out, Comey defied the Attorney General’s Office by going public with this before anything was known. What a stench. This guy wants to avoid having for his boss in the worst way.

  12. Tilphousia says:

Comey blatenly disregarded DOJ policy and should be removed from office. He was told to keep quiet by DOJ and his boss is hopping mad. May he rot in obscurity.

    12
  13. Should have been: This guy wants to avoid having Hillary for his boss in the worst way.

  14. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Admittedly I am not a big crime scene guy like the Fibbies. But. I did not have my brain scrubbed clean of common sense. Nor have I ever thought of cheating on my wife by actual physical contact with another woman nor by tossing a wiener to the cyber winds.

But. Again but. If I were to be that st00pid, odds are that leaving my crime scene (laptop) open for casual scrutiny would not be an option. “Think” like Anthony now. He’s the guilty party; not me, not Huma and certainly not Hilz.

Ask her. Huma was no where near that laptop. Ask her divorce attorney, who if he is even somewhat competent if he has had access yet, as much as he would surely love to have access. Ask her. Ask him (the attorney.)

Or, ask Anthony. Would the little wiener slip a thumb drive into Huma’s laptop to discover what she might know about his activities? With a divorce heading his way and a division of assets to follow, what would the little wiener do to protect his a$$?

GMAB Comey! Ask Anthony, he is the one you are investigating. BTW Wire him for sound, if you’re smart. Seems he likes to lie.

  15. Elizabeth Moon says:

Maggie, like you I have had a suspicious eye on Comey since back when he was a Bush appointee. Read up on his background, kept an eye on how the FBI was doing, and basically knew in July that he would pop up again with something in mid to late October, because the weasel is strong in this one. It was the logical, strategically and tactically best use of insufficient data he and his cronies could come up with to influence the election.

It’s slightly possible that he didn’t think it up by himself, and the Judiciary Committee pit bulls pushed him to do it, but I think he didn’t require much pushing at all.

  16. This is exactly what the word “egregious” was invented for. It smacks of snacilbupeR desperation and crookedness. Gawd I hate those people.

    16
  17. two crows says:

All well and good. I’m glad Comey was called out, of course. But a statement on Twitter IS NOT ENOUGH. Not nearly.

There needs to be, at the very least, a reprimand. From a Republican. With a full explanation of why what he did was so egregious. More than a week before the election.

    Chop chop!

Yeah, I know. But a girl can dream.

    17
  18. Ugh.

  19. JAKvirginia says:

So let me get this straight:

The Director of the FBI (an R) sends a letter to the Committee (only the Rs on the committee) without notifying his boss the head of the DOJ?

    Have I got that right?

I was in a similar situation where someone went behind my back and caused all sorts of trouble. Trouble that could have been averted with a simple phone call. He lost his job. Just sayin’…

    19
  20. I just want to state this, not that I hope or wish for it:

If Drumpf wins, Weiner is going to be pilloried FOREVER as the joke that d*cked Hillary. FOR-EV-ER

And, trust me, as a Bahstan Red Sox fan, I KNOW about scapegoats that go down in history (Bill Buckner can tell you all about it).

    sigh

@ JJHOS-eyes that far in the back of his head… me in mind of one of the peter head puts me in mind of one of the Peter Gent(Michigan state basketball player wo ended up playing receiver for the Dallas Cowboys) novels in which one character says of another, also a receiver for a Dallas pro football team, that his peripheral vision was so good he could see his own ears.Must be Texasiana.’Was a good one nonetheless.

    This too shall pass.

  23. Once again, the media will turn a rout into a horserace. They really don’t give a damn, do they?

    23
  24. Comey has been getting his ass kicked in the media with more spontaneity and gusto than I would have imagined! Seriously, does this guy have an elbow problem? This all does not bode well for him. Plus, recall when some embarrassing stuff came out about Dubya just prior to that election? Alcoholism, drugs, dancing on table tops in his flight suit, easy women, etc. It popped up at about the same point in time as this did and despite what I would have thought, it didn’t change a damn thing about the Republican vote. As far as they were concerned, such behavior suits them just fine! So you R’s out there, lemme tell ya! You don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to the Weiner e-mails! Your pot doesn’t have an equivalency to our kettle!
