Real Sweat

Trump is hoping for a position as a book reviewer once this White House gig is over.

President Trump on Monday said it was “highly inappropriate” for his former national security adviser John Bolton to write a memoir about his work in the White House and claimed the book contains classified information.

Trump also suggested the details contained in the book may not be truthful, telling reporters Bolton has “been known not to tell the truth, a lot.”

Rumor has it that Trump is planning to file a lawsuit to prevent the publication of the book.

Lemme say something.  Screw John Bolton. He’s a horrible man and just screw him.  But if that sumbitch has information that would have impeached Trump then screw him on top of a fire ant hill on the hottest day in West Texas, because 110,000 people have died since then.  I hope when those two guys go to hell that Bolton and Trump live in connecting dumpsters.

However, I do acknowledge that Trump calling someone a liar is pretty damn funny.

How do you really feel about this? Don’t hold back.

Can Trump stop it from being published in Europe? It is a global economy isn’t it?

Leave it to Trump to increase sales of a book he doesn’t want people to read.

Just let the book be published and hit the bookstores and say nothing. There’s no news and the people who refuse to read it because Bolton put his profits ahead of the country will just sit on their hands.
But pitch a hissy fit and a number of people will buy it [maybe even read it] just to spite him.

Trump does love snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, doesn’t he?

  5. Liar Donald Trump calling liar John Bolton a liar might be the most truthful statement Trump has ever made.

So now Bolton is a liar. But when Trump brought him on board, he told all of us that he was hiring only THE BEST people. Yeah, Trump and Bolton and Barr and McTurtle and Graham and … the list could get pretty long … I envision the lot of them wailing and screaming as they are dragged down to hell by the horde of demons (llke in that movie with Patrick Swayzie). Yeah … likin’ that vision.

  7. Its like Bolton is saying “Hey ya’ll remember me? I’m still around, got my book ready, I know you’re gonna want to read it, aren’t ya?” Anybody other than Trump give a shit about Bolton’s book at this point?

  8. In order to be a book reviewer Trump would have to READ books, naaah, ain’t going to happen!

  9. Ormond Otvos says:

Trump could listen to the audiobook versions.

No, that won’t work. Trump doesn’t list.

Maybe Miss Lindsey could read Don to sleep, and then ghost podcast the review?

Trump lists to the Right. Typo.

It would be interesting if there was a lawsuit that went to court where witnesses would need to be deposed. Next on DUHTrumpfs lawsuit list will be his niece. That would also be interesting in court.

There’s nothing Bolton could put in his book that would have made the Rethugs impeach His Heinous. Including shooting somebody on 5th Avenue. They were–and remain–utterly hopeless.

  13. Grandma Ada says:

This book will be a nothing-burger. Wait until his majesty’s niece, Mary Trump, releases her book on his finances and their fight over Grampa’s will. It must be horrible to come from a family of white trash!

  14. LizzyMom says:

IMPOTUS can file all the law suits he want, but all that needs to happen is that one copy gets “accidentally” released and, thanks to the internet, the cat is out of the proverbial bag. Kind of like trying to stuff the toothpaste back in the tube…

I loathe Bolton, especially if it turns out his testimony would have changed the impeachment, but if he can make Spankee twist in the wind and bring him down, well, I wouldn’t kill that messenger (although I would like to kick the bejeesus out of him).

I believe China, Iran and Venezuela all have flourishing publishincgindustries and are unlikely to be bothered by a Trump lawsuit.

  16. the issue of “prior restraint” has already been litigated, by the USSC, and the Federal Gov’t lost. Remember the Pentagon Papers? I knew that you did.

It’s scheduled for “release” (books don’t get published anymore) on the 24th, so reviewers already have copies. One way or another, it’s out there.

Yes, Bolton put profit ahead of country, but I can’t blame him. Nothing would have convinced Mitch and the gang to vote for conviction. They put party ahead of country. We can fix that in November.

  18. Yeah, he’s a bellicose old man. Always has been. Mean streak a mile wide and deep. But he will put forth some really intense stuff that will hound tRump into eternity. That may be Bolton’s only good thing he has ever done in his life.
