Ready Rick, the Dollar Sign King

July 07, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, if you’ve every wondered how the fool tarnation Rick Perry became a millionaire when he’s never had a job outside of a government paycheck in his entire life, then you ain’t lookin’ hard enough.

It’s crap like this.  All.  The.  Damn.  Time.

The bill pending before the state house and senate in the special session says that all abortion clinics must be upgraded to to ambulatory surgical centers even though there is no evidence that will improve services or that there have been any problems.

And who stands to gain if that happens?

If the bill passes, only five Texas abortion clinics would remain open—those that are already equipped as ambulatory surgical centers, advocates say. But a question remains: would the 420 other ambulatory surgical centers that exist in Texas begin performing the operation? Abortion rights advocates predict that the demand for the procedure won’t disappear with passage of the law.

One company that will be faced with that decision is United Surgical Partners International, based in Addison, TX. Their vice-president of government affairs is Milla Perry Jones, Gov. Rick Perry’s sister. She is also on the board of the Texas Ambulatory Surgical Center Society.

Crap like this.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Be social and share!

Dang. Banging my head against the wall. Why didn’t we hear more about this earlier? Well, family looks out for family. Or something.

  2. Corinne Sabo says:

    Gee, what a coincidence. NOT.

    2
  3. Is Wendy Davis going to read this into the record? And is somebody checking what kind of donations this outfit has given to the Rs voting to close the other clinics? Because this looks to put them in a real pickle: are they going to admit being on the take, or admit being too stupid to get on the take?

  4. Only goes to prove that the righties love the “Founding Fathers” especially the ones printed on the currency.

    Great idea, Dianne.

  8. ks sunflower says:

Why are voters putting up with this unethical, even corrupt, behavior?

Scandals such as this surface agian and again and yet voters or potential voters seem not to give a darn (that’s toned down for your mama).

Is this an example of what has been termed :fog fact” where people can know something but it doesn’t sink in?

Juanita, I was going to email you this info which I just found out. But you already know it and are all over it. Good for you. I should have known better.

  10. If somebody in Texas is going to make a dollar, you can depend that Perry has his hand in on the deal somewhere.

  11. maryelle says:

She’s also a lobbyist for doctor-owned medical facilities, which have been shown to inflate medical costs and charges to Medicare. Surprise, surprise. Perry’s refusal to enact the Medicaid expansion is looking a lot clearer now. These thieves have to be stopped.

  12. Why do people keep voting the crooks into and back into office? Sounds like certain parts of the state, especially western, don’t get much information and what they do get is vey unbalanced. Makes me wonder if they have any broadband service at all. Even if you don’t get a printed newspaper, the internet could really work for a body, especially in researching. I do know that the Obama administration has been working on trying to get broadband to what they call underserved areas but for some Reason they have been having hard luck on that issue. Its darn hard to floss your brain when you don’t have the tools.

  14. So Rick is against abortions, but if they’re gonna happen then his kin might as well cash in.
