Proud Boy wants out of Jail; Judge, “Nope”.

April 07, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: Insurrection

Christopher Worrell is a Proud Boy member and was at the Capitol on January 6 spraying Capitol Hill Police with bear spray.  Oh, and he wasn’t wearing a mask.  Turns out that Worrell had been previously treated for lymphoma, and is now worried about contracting Covid 19 while in jail, so his lawyer asked for him to be released pending trial.  DC judge says, “You didn’t seem concerned while in a mob without a mask…”, and rejects Worrell’s request.  Boom.

Thanks to Alan for the heads up.

Speaking of “Monsters Among Us”. It tickles me no end how these clowns are outraged (Outraged, I tell ya) that they were not only arrested but actually JAILED for what they did. Honestly, they were only trying to protect the nation, doncha know.

  3. That’s satisfying as hell.

While I don’t have even a picogram of sympathy for this fool, the underlying story is the brutal condition of the nation’s jails and prisons. It’s better than even odds to get Covid-19 while locked up, and the “authorities” aren’t doing more than lip service about protecting their wards. While it’d make sense that the Qnuts would get behind prison/jail reform now that some of their own are being locked up, Qnuts are not well-know for making sense.

The judge was right in this case, plus the poor simpering seditionist was one who wore a bullet-resistant vest, helmet, weapons, and was equipped with cable ties to take prisoners. He was ready to dole out violence and certainly did not seem like the kind of person who would safeguard any “enemies” he managed to capture. But there’s a world of difference between him endangering his potential prisoners, and the justice system I pay for and allegedly represents me doing it to its prisoners.

Convenient concern for his health. The insurrectionists thought they would have herd immunity- to prosecution. They had herd stupidity.

  6. So the big tough Proud Boys once again demonstrate that they are precious little snowflakes.

By the way, relative to that white power/supremacist hand symbol, does anyone besides me remember singing, “Up in the air junior birdman…” or am I the only one that old who went to summer camp and sang that song as a kid?

  7. Jail should give Proud Boy a little extra time to realize when Trump said “we’re” going to march to the Capitol, Trump didn’t mean himself. Because marching and jail is for losers. Golf carts and the club house are for winning.

  9. Been watching what happens to these guys once they are nabbed. the majority of them get the usual photograph, fingerprints and a cozy jail cell waiting for some time before a judge. Some are even returned to a cell after the judge thingy. And they don’t damn like it! Well, boo freaking hoo! The FBI is having a much easier time identifying and nabbing these jerks. The last I heard hundreds of them had done the perp walk. All of these trials are going to take up a good bit of time. I am looking forward to reading up on sentencing! Sounds like good summer fun for the rest of the outraged citizens.

  10. They really do believe they’re persecuted heroes. The alternative reality they’ve been inhabiting is crashing down around them. It would almost be pathetic if the roles they choose for themselves in that parallel universe weren’t such assholes.

    Colorful lot, those Oregonians.

  12. Jet@3: I’ll second that.

It is too rare that these social troglodytes ever face consequences for their stupid opinions and actions on things. So when it happens it is quite notable.

No doubt we will eventually see a video news story eventually on this fine citizen’s soulful epiphany about something related to this.
