Pot, Meet Kettle
Andrew Card. Remember him? Dubya’s Chief of Staff who rates about the Seventh Circle of Hell on the Truthtelling scale? The guy who told so many falsehoods that he had to get his wife to call the dog? A man who never did get his facts untangled?
He better watch where he points his finger because that sucker might be loaded.
The man who served as chief of staff under former President George W. Bush and helped sell the Iraq War to the American people said Tuesday that President Barack Obama’s entire team is guilty of misleading the public.
Oh, but it gets better.
“Well, first of all, I fault not only the President but I fault the people around the President for allowing him to mislead the American people for so long,” Card told the panel on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Card, don’t you remember where you used to work? Dude, you’re looking in the mirror.
Republicans: More gall than guts. But the weird part is that they’re dandy proud of it.
Thanks to Carl for the heads up.
I remember that photo. I also remember that the President’s facial expression didn’t change for the next twenty minutes and he continued “reading” from “My Pet Goat” despite it being obvious that the book was upside down in his lap.
1But still, knowing EXACTLY what he is and his habit of ignoring some of the Ten Commandments.. He is booked on morning Joe. Did they give him a Flag lapel pin for this mornings lies?
2I still don’t like Mr. Card.
3Funniest thing I’ve read all day.
Andy’s such a card!
4The conservative mindset depends on a fantasy world, not acceptance of reality. That fantasy world was evident throughout the Bush administration and in the comments of the perpetrators since.
5republi-can’ts aren’t weird; they’re consumed by churlish mendacity.
If the media did their job we could write about more pleasant activities: tailgating at football games, picnics in the spring, cute grandchildren – worthy topics.
6You don’t get to criticize this administration if you voted for the last administration – and you certainly don’t get to criticize if you ARE the last administration.
7That’s the Repug selective memory kicking in…again. Lie to the American public and Congress, start a war based on those lies, count the body bags piling up and somehow that equals a website screwup or people who had lousy health insurance offered the chance to upgrade? Why was this horse’s a** given airtime?
8Dang, I remember when he got his rear caught in a crack about some money and a lapse in truth telling. Not a good career move! And not a good bet as a human being.
9Well, of course the White House is misleading the public…. Because that’s what he did, Card thinks that’s what everybody does, right? Sorry, Card, but you’re not “everybody.”
10Oh dearie me. Our sins will find us out, especially if we put them on national television. Or possibly on the internet.
11I think we’re seeing a new definition of chutzpah here– killing your parents and begging the court for mercy because you’re an orphan isn’t up there with this crapola.
