Poor Oppressed Minorities

Harrison, Arkansas, is 35 miles south of Branson, Missouri, the play land for old white people.

If you go to WhitePrideRadio.com, it’s the official radio station of the KKK, a notoriously not-racist club.

They also have a show called “Amos and Andy.”  Seriously.  And one called “Stories of Our People,” also known as “Every Freekin’ History Book Ever Written.”

They have a lot of shows called Old Time Radio.  Damn y’all, there weren’t radios when these people were young.

Thanks to Richard for the heads up.

    Ha! Arkansas. nuff said.

“They” keep saying “The South Will Rise Again”…..

    I don’t think so……

    Just saying…..

Some shrewd marketing there. It’s hard to be against a young girl with a puppy. Easier to be against a fat man wearing a bedsheet with a pillowcase over his head. So they don’t show that. Looks like the Klan is getting slightly more sophisticated in its marketing.

  3. Why do obvious racists always have to claim they aren’t racist? If those are your beliefs, if you’re do proud of your whiteness, why not own it?

    3
  4. I hereby repeat my call for a wholesale re-thinking of the relationship between the Union and the rebellious states. It is high time to kick their a$$e$ loose. Maybe it is un-constitutional for them to secede but can’t the other 30-ish states just shun the rebels?

    4
  5. Love your people? I’m white, but I’m pretty sure that these guys are in no way ‘my people’. Character is infinitely more important than skin color.

    5
  6. Crystal sets, maybe. Most likely smoke signals.

  7. Linda Phipps says:

News Flash to the KKK … when Obama does leave office, instead of pardoning a bunch of jailbirds, he IS coming to get YOUR guns.

  8. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

I recall visiting a friend who was at the University of Arkansas a while back. I was surprised to learn that when people in Arkansas want to attend some sort of vaguely cultural event — like maybe a play or ballet or concert — the closest place they can find is in Tulsa. That was before Branson got big.

  9. Corinne Sabo says:

    Those people have a problem.

    9
  10. At the risk of repeating myself here:
Whenever I have the opportunity to engage in “dialogue” with these kinds of people, I say to them, “If you can tell me how you were able to choose the time, place, race, parents, IQ, physical attributes of your birth and why the people of color, or those of any peoples that were short-changed mentally and/or physically and why they would choose these attributes convincingly, I will be glad to listen to your expounder as I would really like to know where I missed the (whatever metaphor suits).”

  11. Marge Wood says:

I’m whiter than brown. My seven year old granddaughter is fairly browner than I am but only copy paper and white tablecloths are white. We’re all in it together.

  12. Old Mayfly says:

I was thinking about Obama-hate the other day, and how it often seems to amuse Obama. It occurred to me that Obama learned when he was fairly young that

just by showing up well-dressed and cheerful
you can frustrate and enrage your enemies.

  13. I lived near there back in the mid-90s. That’s where I worked as a nurse’s aid on night shift in nursing homes. Learned a lot. But it was such a disappointment when I realized why my husband loved it so much. The National Headquarters for the KKK was in Zinc, a tiny town ten miles down a paved road (and there the pavement, and the modern world) ended. How disgusting when I realized he wasn’t joking. The kicker was when we discovered that we could still read the faded wooden billboard heading west out of Harrison. It said “Get your black ass outta here by sundown.” If y’all don’t already know, that’s how that sort of place got called “sundown towns” and why those bastions (bastards?) of Jim Crow love that place… in Harrison, when the laws changed, they didn’t. Not even to the extent that Aliceville, Alabama had when I was there twenty years before, where they at least took down the White Only signs. That was the only change, and it was because the Feds came to town and made them do it. Public schools, too, forced to integrate ten years after the Civil Rights Act. Immediately the parents got together and made a Baptist school. Attitudes like this are in the DNA. Only someone who really wants to rise above being a natural-born racist can do so.

Marge Wood, you are right to the point. Human beings are made up of so many beautiful shades of color and culture, that to describe yourself as “white” is just plain inaccurate. Last I heard, albinos are the only truly white people, beautiful as they are, but from there, the spectrum continues to change.

    14
  15. Look at the color of the dog in the stock photo. Clearly white people love God’s brown creatures. As long as they sit, stay and beg. And know their place.

    15
  16. I don’t get “white pride.” I have red hair, and I’m glad I do, but I’m not proud of it because I didn’t do anything to earn it. I can be proud of having rescued a number of cats over the years, and I can be proud of my BA and MS degrees, because I did work to achieve those things. White pride? You might as well be proud of being right-handed or having ten toes. Suggests to me that they’ve got nothing else to be “proud” of.

  17. TruelyTexan says:

If the KKK were any other color they would be labeled terrorists and rounded up for a slow boat to Cuba.
@Mah Fellow Murkuhn, I don’t like kids or dogs, so I can still hate their ad.
Seems like if minorities (of any physical, mental or ideological persuasion) are so dangerous to the white way of life, they could easily do something about it. There are far more of us than there are of them. I guess they are transferring their own violent hate and attributing it to the people that are just living their lives and leaving them alone.
    How dare we.

    17
  18. Remember a movie called Finian’s Rainbow and how the racist woke up one day wearing a very deeply, deeply tanned hide? Only then did he finally get the idea that racist wasn’t a damn good thing to be. Now God sent all those plagues upon Egypt in order to free the Hebrew children. Any day now, God, so you can free the racists from themselves.

    18
  19. Old Fart says:

No, it’s not racist to love your people…

It’s racist to hate others because you have arbitrarily decided they aren’t “your people”.

Besides, if I can love people no matter their skin tone, that *includes* “my” people…

    19
  20. Glidwrith says:

Does anyone find it creepy to have a kid pictured when there have been some horrific child sex abuse cases coming out of that state, lately? The 19 kids and counting Quiverful son that molested his own sisters, the state rep that re-homed his adopted daughters (one who had already been abused) to another predator? Yeesh.

    20
  21. Puppies aren’t racist.

    21
  22. Aggieland Liz says:

…”but but but who IS my neighbor, er people, Jesus?” they whined…
