Perjury and Other Mild Missteps.

October 01, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, it appears that Jeff Flake answered the question, “If Kavanaugh is shown to have lied to the committee, nomination’s over?”  His answer?  “Oh, yes.”

Watch your step there, little buddy.

Polling has already shown that Republicans don’t care if he lied or even if he assaulted her, they believe he should be confirmed.  Hellfire, they’d confirm him while he was drunk and he and PJ were having themselves a Devil’s Triangle with their daughter.

The Republican party has no moral underpinnings.  The are the party of debt, debauchery, and disapproval.

And they suck.

If he were proven–with sound and video–to be guilty of selling young children’s virginity on the internet, I doubt that would stop Grassley, Graham, et. al.

  2. Elizabeth2 says:

It isn’t just the lying, but the partisanship. I still cherish the idea of an impartial judiciary. If Obama or Clinton had nominated a Supreme Court candidate who delivered a tearful rant full of conspiracy theories and self-pity, I, left-winger though I am, would have been convinced that he or she wasn’t fit to be a small claims court judge, let alone a Supreme Court justice. Kavanaugh showed us himself, with no help from Dr. Ford or his classmates with long memories or anybody else, that he’s not fit to be on the Court.

  3. Evangelicals.
    Devil’s Triangle.
Isn’t that enough to disqualify Kavanaugh for people of THE LORD?

Any evangelical triangle should only include the Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. The Ghost leaving room for a +1.

Rick, the Access Hollywood tape and the Steele dossier didn’t dissuade the evangelical base from Donnie devotion. Doubt a live sex youtube video with Dimwit Jr. would move those cretins away from Donnie. As for Kavvie, as long as he holds the forced birther line, he too will be absolved of all evil with that crowd. If morals were an issue with them, they’d all happily have given live breach birth to calves when Donnie sent Callista Gingrich to the Vatican. From the minds of “protect the fetal cells at all cost” and onward and upward with the death penalty, don’t expect logic.

    Update: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/white-house-tells-fbi-to-interview-anyone-necessary-for-kavanaugh-inquiry/ar-BBNOjsE?ocid=spartanntp

WH apparently flinched by opening the parameters of the Kavanaugh investigation. However the time constraints are still in place. Friday could prove to be a fun frolic when the FBI has more than sufficient just cause to continue its investigation to the logical conclusion. Then again, if the snacilbupeR in the Senate possessed both spine and integrity, Kavvie would never have been voted out of committee with all this is known about his perjury and other bad faith dealings.

  6. Charles R Phillips says:

Yes, his pergury is provable, while his sexual assault habit is less so.

  7. Jane & PKM says:

Mr. Charles R Phillips this is one of those times it would be appropriate to “have our cake and eat it, too.” For his perjury and contempt of Congress, Kavvie should be denied a SCOTUS seat. For his assaults on women he should be impeached from his current position on the US Court of Appeals. It is said that “justice delayed is justice denied.” With that I don’t fully agree (better late than never), so with that impeach Clarence Thomas, as an act of apology to Professor Anita Hill and a show of good faith to Dr. Christine Blasely Ford and all the women and men of the #MeToo movement.

Absolutely Miz JJ. I have several family members who are loyal members of that cabal. They are generally decent people, except in this area. It’s like a chunk of their brain just blinked off.

Living proof of that quote, “Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

  10. kavanaugh becomes the next faux hero of the right based upon lies.
Just as the whack jobs have never accepted that tricky dick was a crook, bork was a disaster, addled ronnie was addled and no germany was not stabbed in the back in 1918.
All lies that the right promotes and nurtures to justify their martyrdom and justify their gross and obscene behavior as nothing more then a defense against having to accept that their entire world view is based upon purposeful lies, delusional fantasies, and insane ideology.
So now win or lose kavenaugh has served his purpose to become another bogus martyr that, like the bloody shirt of the late 1800’s, they can wave to rally the stupid, the ignorant ( didn’t demented donnie speak of his love of the ignorant?) the venal and both the shills and the marks.
For next 20 years ( if we have that much time left) we will have to hear of the unfortunate tribulations of this poor little rich boy.

  11. Elizabeth2, I wholeheartedly agree. The FBI notwithstanding, Kavanaugh’s blatant anger and political bias should be enough to deny him this appointment, but did I not hear him utter a threat having to do with “…what goes around comes around” after his demented rant? THAT SHOULD BE GAME OVER!
He has been groomed as a political assassin since graduating from law school, and has no business being on any bench anywhere.

  12. slipstream says:

Kavanaugh told the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath that the first time he heard of Ramirez’s allegation was in the Sept. 23 article in The New Yorker.

But in July he contacted Kerry Berchem, wanting her to refute Ramirez’s allegation.

Can you spell “perjury”? I’ll bet you can!

    12
  13. Polling also shows that women are enraged over the Kav thing. That alone should give the rethugs on the Hill constant nightmares.

    13
  14. Who paid off Kavanaugh’s massive debt should also be determined since his decisions could be compromised in favor of who he “owes” for that.

That this man is even being considered to sit on SCOTUS with all that is swirling around him (along with his anger issues and lying) is simply incomprehensible. A “normal” president wouldn’t have nominated him at all. BK would seem to be a mini-me of trump; will we see “love letters” flowing between them?
