If you live in Oklahoma, flights of mental fantasy are the only way to entertain yourself. Well, that and drinking too much, which is my theory about Republican Senator James Inhofe.
Two days after a lone white American gunman killed more than 58 people in Las Vegas, what is now considered one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern US history, Inhofe said the country is “inundated with permissive laws” — like those in “sanctuary cities” where local law enforcement doesn’t enforce all federal immigration laws — perpetuating the “cultural problem” behind mass shooting.
“That has a lot more to do with [mass shootings] than gun owners laws,” Inhofe told me. “You can go ahead and break a law and you can come to a sanctuary city, and they wouldn’t enforce the laws.”
So sanctuary cities cause mass murder? Because the shooter thinks he can run somewhere where mass murder is legal? Like, say, I dunno … Ohio?
Republican Congressvarmint Tim Murphy (R-PA) is married and has a mistress. I guess we should be proud that it’s just a mistress and not an underage boyfriend and his pet goat.
Well, his little honey got herself in the family way and old Tim, seen here heehawing it up with Louie Gohmert …
… asked her to get an abortion. Yep, the guy who voted to criminalize abortion suddenly thinks they are a great idea when his mistress told him she might be pregnant.
Hint of the Day: Text messages are forever. Tim learned this the hard way.
“And you have zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options,” Shannon Edwards wrote in a text message, the Post-Gazettereports.
Murphy answered her right away, writing, “I get what you say about my March for life messages. I’ve never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don’t write any more. I will.”
Sit down. Take a few deep breaths. Then realize that Rex Tillerson is the only thing that stands between you and all out nuclear holocaust with North Korea.
Over the weekend, President Trump contradicted Tillerson on diplomatic relations with North Korea and its leader. Trump tweeted that the secretary of state was “wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man” — his nickname for North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.
Be a hero, Rex. Oh hell, be an evil Bond villain. I don’t care. Just don’t let Trump get his tiny little finger near the red button. We’ll get you a cape, Rex.
Okay, for those of you who made bets that I would never have one nice thing to sat about Rex Tillerson, I apologize. You could argue that I never said anything nice except, “God, please let this guy live one day longer than Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump, Jr. supports silencers on guns because it’s “a public health issue.”
Oh hell, yes, I am damn serious.
Oh yeah, you heard that right. He thinks it’s great because it “gets little kids into the game.” You know, we don’t want to hurt their little ears. Blow their little heads off while they sit in school, sure, but do not hurt their ears when you teach them to shoot.
Y’all this has made me crazy all morning.
The problem is that stupid is not painful for the person who has it. But, it’s very painful on the end that hears it.
Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
