Good Lord, Honey, if you give that guy a hot toddy or two, he’ll show you his civil war flag he carries while he wears his WWII helmet. And his outfits show that he was on the losing side both times. You’d think he’d learn.
“Is there anything wrong with saying they’re black and proud? Is there anything wrong with being an American Indian and saying that we’re red and proud?” Myers responded. “I mean, just like Black Lives Matter, white lives matter, too. We’re all in the same melting pot. Now why can’t we say, as Anglos, that we’re proud?”
Because, jerk, that’s not how racism works. You’re the majority. You own most of the money and most of the power.
Myers is a 74-year-old activist who has been involved in GOP politics for decades. But “the pivotal political moment came when Obama came on the scene. I knew immediately that America was in trouble,” he said in an Empower Texans profile.
Yeah, that’s it. You got it. That is how racism works.
This week, New York Times columnist Charles Blow wrote a depressing, but I believe accurate opinion piece about how Trump will respond to Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation. It ain’t pretty. Blow compares Trump to Nixon, pointing out their difference in response to unassailable facts. When Nixon was facing an actual impeachment vote, he resigned a crawled back under his rock at San Clemency. Blow says that Trump will NEVER yield, even after an unlikely vote for impeachment.
His point here is that the end of the Mueller investigation isn’t the end of a long nightmare, but actually only the beginning. Even in the face of incontrovertible evidence, Trump will admit nothing. He’ll attack on Twitter. Trump’s network of propaganda outlets, lead by Fox Noise, will spin the findings at hypersonic speeds to twist up the finding to assert that negatives are positives, red is blue, the sky is green, the sun rises in the west, and that Trump is a “victim” of a smear campaign.
Blow describes the looming constitutional crisis as the “country’s crucible” that will test the very strength of our constitutional form of government. Trump won’t go down without taking the country with him. That is darkness that is no less threatening than the Great Depression, the rise of fascism in Europe in the 1930s, and the Great Recession. And, it could start any day.
We know that Donald Trump recently got some bad news from his lawyers because he’s melting like a marshmallow on a Texas sidewalk in July. At this point he’s just a big ole squashy blob of white stuff sweating on the ground.
So, he Twitters. Remember: start at the bottom and read up. Click the small one to see a big one.
I don’t know much about where this country is going, but I know one thing. If Donald Trump is the judge between the truth and a lie, we are totally screwed.
Donald Trump has floorboarded and down shifted the Twitter machine in the past 24 hours. I want to talk about the small one first.
Sometimes you just have to wonder if Trump is just dog butt ignorant or if he’s trying to send secret coded messages.
Do you think Trump has a clue what the “leap forward” reference means to the Chinese? And since he only knows about five adjectives and giant isn’t one of them, you gotta wonder if replacing it with BIG was intentional … or just incredibly dumb.

My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
