Orin Hatch, Y’all
I know it’s gonna to come as a shock to you that another old white guy in the senate said something totally self-serving, completely ignorant, and patently offensive.
Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch warned Tuesday that efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act in the Senate might be complicated because once the public “is on the dole, they’ll take every dime they can.”
There is the distinct possibility that he just stumbled on his words and meant to say, “once the United States Senate is on the dole from insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry, they’ll take every dime they can get.”
Seriously, upon completion of his remarks, the entire Senate committee cleared the joint immediately. There’s poor old Orin sitting there by his lonesome. Well, except for an aide who leads him to the bathroom every hour, but is now trying like the dickens to hide for fear of everyone knowing she drew the Lead Orin straw this week.
I did not photoshop this picture. They were like, “Let’s get the hell outta Dodge. Did you hear what that old fool said to voters?”
The problem with Obamacare is that it’s way too healthier.
Thanks to Bryan for the heads up.
Orrin Hatch has been on government dole for so long that he believes he and the other old white guys there are the only ones that deserve to pocket taxpayer money.
1National shoe week? Teddie Crooze holstered former AG Yate’s shoe in his posterior, while Old Orrin is flapping his gums around his own shoe.
2I thought Hatch was old enough to remember that in their beginnings, social security, Medicare, and Medicaid, were called the dole.
3Doesn’t it make you feel all warm and fuzzy that Orrin Hatch is third in the Presidential succession, right after Paul Ryan?
4Just another slimy old GOP fart with bad g’ass.
5Rumblings around that he will retire. The Mitt-en is modestly nibbling at him for an endorsement.
6Just hanging with all his friends.
7That image is political gold. A Dem running against Hatch might could build a successful campaign with that image: this is how much influence your senator doesn’t have.
8I just wish I could have seen the entire committee get up and walk out. That would have been so sweet.
9America hater, Sen. Orrin Hatch has been sucking on the federal teat in the Senate for the past 41-years!
In 1976 Hatch criticized Utah’s then Democrat incumbent, Sen. Frank Moss on his 18 (Not 41; 18) year tenure in the Senate by saying: “What do you call a Senator who’s served in office for 18 years? You call him home.”
Who am I to argue with that logic? Utah? Utah? Get busy.
