Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Rump should have played nice with the FBI.
1Good for the FBI!
I have a small bone to pick with the media. This was not a damn raid with guns blazing and jack booted agents running amok. It was a warrant covered investigation already approved by several Republicans that had to be in on the act according to the law. I know what happens out in the hinterland when the media keeps calling these investigations “raids”. Trumpers are reaching for their weaponry. I feel for any FBI agent assigned to a bureau office in such places! And I am also amazed that some RWNJ hasn’t massacred FBI personnel of whatever GS level. But I hope I am wrong in my feeling that it is not if such a thing will happen but when.
2Maggie, your fears are well founded. Donnie has exacerbated everything that has been going wrong since Nixon and possibly before that particular crook. Maybe it began long before people like the Mercers, Koch brothers and the NRA began buying Congress. Little things like insisting right wing hate groups not be classified and tracked as hate groups and on to bigger things like stacking our courts with Heritage Foundation ‘judicial’ appointments. Electing Donnie wasn’t the culmination of their efforts, but just another step toward their oligarch dreams married to a crazy wingnut base.
Didn’t have the time to carefully follow the Bundy trial in NV, so cannot estimate how much that went off the rails due to a judge with a heavy paw on the scale, possible jury nullification, and maybe even a dart or two thrown by old Beauregard Sessions. Anyway, with Donnie’s twitter rants and media appearances by his flying monkeys poisoning the jury pools, fear for the end of justice as we once knew it.
3“Mr. Trump called the court-authorized raids an “attack on our country” — unusually harsh language that he has not used to describe Russia’s attempts to influence an American election using hacking and propaganda.”
I just… I can’t any more.
4Agree with Maggie and y’all. FBI Special Agents put their lives on the line for us and deserve respect. Traitor trump deserves a prison term. Today’s Times of London shows traitor trump in battle attire kicking in the FBI’s door. The ignorant dimwit just loves to smear others with his “pants on fire” constant lying. But when the investigation closes in on his corruption his whining becomes incessant. But Cohen is caught by the short & curlys. New York law states that any payments made without the client’s knowledge is reason for disbarment. If the client did know that’s a probable campaign finance violation. So looks like both lawyer (?) and client are both in a cesspool of trouble. Couldn’t happen to more deserving thugs.
5Maggie, in the unreal world, like on Criminal Minds, the FBI is always a target. That’s the world most of Trump’s supporters, including the rich one live in anyhow.
6Rhea, that’s exactly what I was going to say (in my own words, of course).
