Okay, Fess Up. Who Did This?
Y’all, quit messing with Louie Gohmert’s Wikipedia page. Seriously, y’all. It’s upsetting him.
Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert’s Wikipedia page was hacked on Wednesday, with the hacker altering the page to ask if he even had the capacity to serve.
The introduction part of Gohmert’s page was rewritten to say “Gohmert also prides himself on being the stupidest member of Congress.”
He’s not the stupidest person in Congress. After all, he is a graduate of Baylor Law School and a former district court judge. However, he is the damn goofiest member of congress. Please keep that straight.
Honey, to be honest, you don’t need to decorate his wiki page with statements like that – just read his page and be covered in the awesome wonderfulness of goofy pride.
Sample –
Despite being an advocate for gun rights and supporting a proposal that allows mentally ill individuals to possess firearms, in early 2017 Gohmert expressed fear that he might become the target of gun violence similar to that experienced by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and refused to hold public town hall meetings.
Or –
In a 2012 meeting of the House Natural Resources Committee, Gohmert stated his strong support of a trans-Alaskan pipeline, as a means for caribou to have more sex.
Head on over and find your personal favorite.
Thanks to Steve V for the heads up.
What Miz JJ’s text says to me is that ABA should look very deeply into the legal education Baylor Law provides. Louie should have failed to even get in to any law school in a civilized country. Moral turpitude should have kept him out. Although he might not have cast asparagus during his time in law school, who knows???
1Just another really ditzy par excellence despite having a few brain cells to spare for a legal education. No boundaries, taste, class, forethought, recognition of consequences . . . I really don’t need to go on,do I!
2“On January 3, 2013, Gohmert broke ranks with the House leadership to nominate outspoken Florida Representative Allen West for Speaker of the House, although West narrowly lost his bid for re-election in November 2012, and was no longer a member of Congress” Observant fellow, that Louie …
As Ms. JJ recommends, really, “Head on over and find your personal favorite.” That page is loaded with Gohmert goofy from which to choose.
Not surprisingly, Steve King’s Wiki page is nearly as much fun as Louie’s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_King
Or, Marsha Blackburn. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marsha_Blackburn
There are numerous Congress varmints who should read their Wiki pages, then resign in mortification if only they had the sense to be mortified.

ADJECTIVE
lacking intelligence or common sense:
“I was stupid enough to think she was perfect”
If that doesn’t fit well take your pick here:
synonyms: unintelligent · ignorant · dense · foolish · dull-witted · slow · simpleminded · vacuous · vapid · idiotic · imbecilic · imbecile · obtuse · doltish · thick · dim · dimwitted · slow-witted · dumb · dopey · dozy · moronic · cretinous · pea-brained · halfwitted · soft in the head · brain-dead · boneheaded · thickheaded · wooden-headed · muttonheaded · daft · foolish · silly · unintelligent · idiotic · scatterbrained · nonsensical · senseless · harebrained · unthinking · ill-advised · ill-considered · unwise · injudicious · inane · absurd · ludicrous · ridiculous · laughable · risible · fatuous · asinine · mad · insane · lunatic · crazy · dopey · cracked · half-baked · dimwitted · cockeyed · lamebrained · nutty · batty · cuckoo · loony · loopy
4Still chuckling over Louie’s refusal to hold town meetings because of what happened to Gabby Giffords. True delusions of grandeur. His own party leadership regards Louie as a waste of good ammo.
5I live over 1000 miles from Texas, and yet whenever I see mention of “the stupidest man in Congress,” it’s always Louie. He certainly has that reputation nationally.
Ben Carson has a neurology surgeon education and he can still say things that are dumber than ditchwater, so I don’t think Louie’s education can be cited as evidence that he’s not stupid.
6“Okay, Fess Up. Who Did This?”
7ME!
Well, not really, but I might have if I was smart enough. Well, maybe not, there’s really no need to…
I love the list of synonyms for STUPID. It would be fun at a party to see who could yell the list until they ran out of air. Maybe give big lollipops for prizes.
8I know I didn’t do it, but I’d be happy to buy a tall frosty for the person that did!
9UmptyDump@5 “delusions of grandeur”? In Louie’s case, it’s delusions of adequacy. As Charlier Pierce over at Esquire says, he’s the “Padishah Emperor for Life of the Crazy People” — uncontestedly, ever since Minnesota’s very own Michele Bachmann left office.
10I’m disappointed with the Wikipedia page: it has nothing about Louie’s famous “asparagus” comment:
‘The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus!’ — Louis Gohmert, responding to Attorney General Eric Holder.
‘Good luck with your asparagus’ — AG Eric Holder, trolling congressman Louis Gohmert.
11eyesoars, the appropriate edit has been submitted to Wikipedia to correct that oversight.
12I hope whoever are doing all these page edits are leaving the appropriate citations, so they don’t get edited out.
And the list of synonyms for “stupid” is missing one : TRUMP!
Also addle-pated.
13Are you absolutely sure Baylor has a law school? And if they do, I have three Corgis who would like to attend.
14Jane & PKM@12: Alas, it is not there now, so there must/may be a robot cleaning it up. 🙁 More likely, competing robots…
15It wasn’t I. I wasn’t even there.
