“OK, it’s enough”

May 01, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Trump

John Dickerson of Face the Nation interviewed Trump as part of CBS’s 100 Days of Hell coverage.  Dickerson got all the way to the wiretapping claim and pressed him to give an answer.  After jousting for a minute, Trump dismissed Dickerson and ended the interview.  Here’s the transcript of the exchange.

JOHN DICKERSON: Did President Obama give you any advice that was helpful? That you think, wow, he really was–

DONALD TRUMP:  — Well, he was very nice to me. But after that, we’ve had some difficulties. So it doesn’t matter. You know, words are less important to me than deeds. And you– you saw what happened with surveillance. And everybody saw what happened with surveillance–

JOHN DICKERSON: Difficulties how?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: — and I thought that — well, you saw what happened with surveillance. And I think that was inappropriate, but that’s the way–

JOHN DICKERSON: What does that mean, sir?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You can figure that out yourself.

JOHN DICKERSON: Well, I– the reason I ask is you said he was– you called him “sick and bad”.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Look, you can figure it out yourself. He was very nice to me with words, but– and when I was with him — but after that, there has been no relationship.

JOHN DICKERSON: But you stand by that claim about him?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I don’t stand by anything. I just– you can take it the way you want. I think our side’s been proven very strongly. And everybody’s talking about it. And frankly it should be discussed. I think that is a very big surveillance of our citizens. I think it’s a very big topic. And it’s a topic that should be number one. And we should find out what the hell is going on.

JOHN DICKERSON: I just wanted to find out, though. You’re– you’re the president of the United States. You said he was “sick and bad” because he had tapped you– I’m just–

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You can take– any way. You can take it any way you want.

JOHN DICKERSON: But I’m asking you. Because you don’t want it to be–

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You don’t–

JOHN DICKERSON: –fake news. I want to hear it from–

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You don’t have to–

JOHN DICKERSON: –President Trump.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: –ask me.  You don’t have to ask me.

JOHN DICKERSON: Why not?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Because I have my own opinions. You can have your own opinions.

JOHN DICKERSON: But I want to know your opinions. You’re the president of the United States.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Okay, it’s enough. Thank you. Thank you very much.

The video has to be seen and experienced to truly comprehend that magnitude of this man’s mental issues. Can you imagine having to work for this person? Truly scary.

  2. Wow. Just wow.

  3. Absolutely pitiful.
My beloved grandma gets it into her head that she is so ill she can’t get herself into bed—while we had just witnessed her basically gliding down a hallway without her walker. No matter what we say she insists it is impossible—while climbing into bed. The ninety seven year old dear has dementia.

Trump is showing frightening signs—but mostly he is just an ass.

  4. Okay, he could be a blithering ass, or he could be making nasty insinuations without having to produce any proof. I think he’s a blithering ass, but a large majority of Republicans believe that Obama wiretapped Trump before the election, so the nasty insinuations without proof are working, sad to say.

My take on the most important phrase during the interview:

    “I don’t stand by anything.”

Yep, that about sums him up.

    @ Rhea:
Or he could be both a blithering ass AND making nasty insinuations while producing no proof. In fact, DOING the second [which he has done numerous times] pretty much proves he IS the first.

    Just a thought.

  7. Heard that interview on my car radio only way to work. Nancy’s boy works hard. Trump hardly works. John is a pro and part bull dog. Would not let go over a good solid question. Trump couldn’t take it. Dish it out but can’t take it. I was surprised that he didn’t slap John upside the head but then Trump himself admits he doesn’t do all the “touchy” stuff other people do. Angela is right on the button. Trump’s dementia shows up at the oddest times but it sure does show up!

If everyone saw it, it wasn’t surveillance.

  9. @two crows, granted he may be both, but I was thinking of a blithering ass who didn’t have sense enough to deliberately make the nasty insinuations but was simply blithering. Still a possibility.

IMPEACH TRUMP. …and Pence, while you’re at it. Heck, maybe we oughta just have a special election all the way up and down.

  11. Tilphousia says:

Trump is an ass and has dementia. He is a traitor, a collaborator. Pence and the whole administration are unfit, as well as unlawfully in power. IMPEACH! IMPEACH! IMPEACH!
