Oh Hell Yes
In a 5-4 decision, this morning the Supreme Court struck down a Louisiana law restricting abortion rights, much like it did to a Texas law that said that doctors must have admitting privileges to a hospital before performing an abortion.
The anti-choice crowd was hoping that the addition to the two bozos Trump put on the court would change the balance.
That didn’t happen.
Chief Justice John Roberts must be getting a little worried about his legacy as well he should be.
Thanks so much for sharing this! A woman’s body is hers, and a fetus is part of it. I was really afraid the current court wouldn’t recognize that.
1If we don’t retake the Senate in November, Kavanaugh will soon be the Court’s swing vote.
2Thanks for using “anti-choice,” too. “Pro-life” is the wrong term for people who kill doctors.
Some good news to start the week.
3It’s like Trump said, we’re winning so much we’re getting tired of winning.
4Big win for women’s rights. Now let’s see what they do with the ACA before the election.
5Kavanaugh dissented. So, he lied once again to the Senate. Impeachment, anyone?
6Yep, on Kavanaugh I wondered if the little cs would stick with the idea of “ settled law”.
7Lying piece of garbage.
I believe Roberts is defending his court.
He sees Congress and his orangeness unable or unwilling to kill Obamacare, unable or unwilling to outlaw abortion, and unable or unwilling kill DACA.
Republicans are anxious to let the court do their dirty work for them. Roberts is telling them not to make his court the fall guy.
8Huge and wonderful win.
Note, they are pro-birth not pro-life. If they were pro-life they would fight to increase funding programs such as, Head-Start and SNAP.
9I am still waiting for Susan Collins to rationalize Kavanaugh’s bullshit commitment to her to support the already decided ruling on Roe vs Wade. She believed him conveniently while anyone with a brain knew it was bull pucky. Hope Main voters finally see her for who she is. Stupid.
