Oh Dear Lord Louie Gohmert. That’s His Name: Oh Dear Lord Louie Gohmert.

October 16, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Lookie here.

Louie Gohmert (R-TX) declared on Thursday that Center for Disease Control (CDC) Director Tom Frieden was in charge of “the Democrats’ war on women nurses.”

Speaking on Glenn Beck’s radio program, Gohmert — who represents Texas, where one Ebola patient has died and two nurses have been infected — said he was “okay, but do any of us really know for sure.”

“You know, it’s a shame that the CDC head, Frieden, is apparently the commander of the Democrats’ new war on women nurses,” Gohmert opined. “Because, goodnight, they set them up, and then they throw them under the bus.”

Oh yeah, it’s Obama’s fault.

Thanks to Elizabeth for the heads up.

And Louie’s votes on CDC funding were?

  2. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Loopy Louie, just women nurses? Great! Unlike the GOP which has targeted all Americans with austerity sequestration including drastic cuts to the CDC budget.

Another painful reminder for all you “privatization” loons – Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is a private hospital.

The Ebola quarantine is 21 days; by comparison quarantine for cranial/lingual rabies should be six months, or however long it takes to cure foaming at the mouth.

  3. Louie is an idiot.
What is he doing to help the situation? Anything?

    3
  4. Creatures like Louie Gohmert serve to us that one can either be an intelligent human being or a Republican. But not both.

    4
  5. Does Louie’s nurse know he got out again? Or did he just get access to a phone and call in to the radio show? Either way they need to keep a closer eye on that boy, and maybe up his meds.

  6. Ralph Wiggam says:

It is amusing to me that he sees them as women first and as nurses second. Subtle misogyny is still misogyny.

    6
  7. It is despicable for any politicians to make political hay on this issue. Just despicable. It’s hard to despise Louie more than I already do, but he’s making it easy.

    7
  8. Edward Starsmith says:

Where does the line start to point out to Louie that not all nurses are female? Or have I spent the last 20+ years in the field for nothing?

This man insults me by breathing.

  9. Lorraine in Spring says:

Seriously, between Ebola and Louie, Texas has to turn Blue just to survive the stupid.

    Good Grief.

    9
  10. Louie is only worried about female nurses. He wants only female nurses when he’s sick.

    10
  11. So it’s the Democrats who wage war on “women nurses”, not the Republican’ts who keep people from getting healthcare from those male and female nurses by blocking Medicaid expansion and The Affordable Care Act and by refusing to allow free contraception to those same “women. Once again Gohmert shoots his mouth off and misses the point by a mile.

    11
  12. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Edward Starsmith, you’ve been a nurse for 20+ years, but Loopy Louie has been oxygen deprived for 61+ years. Albeit, always insulting in his st00pidity.

Let’s just hope his next nurse is a lady; a very large Samoan nurse, who has no love for pasty white morons and may his proctologist be an Academy graduate wearing a size 18 class ring.

    12
  13. Louie is leaving me feeling like I just went through miles of S-curves and switchbacks in record time. I will have to wait for my stomach to catch up with me. Oh, yes, and all those curves were on the edge of dead-drop cliffs with no retaining walls.

    13
  14. Edward Starsmith says:

    PKM,

One thing that very few people realize is, it’s the nurse who is going to check you for an impaction.

And if anyone on the planet is impacted, it’s Louie.

    14
  15. Edward Starsmith:

I am not going there, I am not going there, I am not….

    (walks off whistling. Not Dixie.)

    15
  16. I bet a lot of the medically uninsured in Texas would be delighted to receive the health care that these nurses get by being “thrown under the bus.”

From the news: “Vinson has been flown to Emory University in Atlanta for treatment in a special isolation unit. The first nurse from Texas Health who was diagnosed with Ebola, Nina Pham, is being taken to a National Institutes of Health facility in Maryland.”

    16
  17. It is probable that Louie need not worry about contracting ebola. It seems to only infect humans.

Unless it also affects monkeys . . .

    17
  18. Sandridge says:

    LynnN @ #17–
Louie and Co. are already infected with something even worse than Ebola, they’ve had raging cases of Teabola for years now.
A prion-like disease, Teabola attacks what might have once been normal brain cells (hard to say if some of the afflicted actually ever had ‘normal’ brains), rendering them incapable of rational coherent thought or actions.
Transmitted via disease vectors such as R. Limpballs, FuxNooz, and many other virulent pathogens, infections are reinforced through the cesspool-like environment victims immerse themselves in.

There have been isolated cases of spontaneous remission, and even recovery, but normal Teabola disease progression is irreversible and incurable, leading to complete brain dissolution (Applesauced).

Symptoms include (only a partial list) massive exhibition of “teh st00pid”; enthusiastic nodding response with RW media stimulii; febrile ODS, drooling and involuntary woodies upon exposure to images of the likes of S. Palin, M. Bachmann, A. Coulter, etc., ad nauseum; excessive use of words like “patriot”, “xtian”, “librul”, “CCW”, “0x00hours”, “prepped, loaded and locked”, etc; extreme herd behavior; urge to fling right arm out and up near any politician with an (R) designation; slavish worship of tinpot authoritarian figures such as T. Cruz, S. Walker, pR. Perry, etc.

Teabola is a far greater danger to the US of A (and world) than all communicable diseases combined. Expected demographic limitation doesn’t seem to be happening, it continues to spread unchecked.
Worst case is if on 5 November Teabola morbidity percentage exceeds 50%: ‘We Are All Fu&*ed”.

  19. e platypus onion says:

Thanks to Gohmerto and friends all these ebola nurses will be forced to bear ebola-infected fetuses to term and give birth to ebola-infected babies at which point Gohmerto and friends cut off any financial, food, education, housing aid and human kindness. Then they go to church and pretend to be christians. ROTFLMAO!!

  20. This definitely falls into my “Don’t make Stupid People Famous” category. I’m leaving it alone.

  21. UmptyDump says:

@PKM – Regarding oxygen deprivation, maybe Louie went to the same clinic as Joan Rivers did for her vocal cords. Didn’t fix the vocal cords; didn’t fix the oxygen deprivation.

  22. Linda Phipps says:

To Polite Cool Marxist: “The Ebola quarantine is 21 days; by comparison quarantine for cranial/lingual rabies should be six months, or however long it takes to cure foaming at the mouth.” They used to eliminate rabid animals by cutting off their heads. After the fascists of fear are done killing all the innocent children who “self deported” from Central America, perhaps we can borry their axes and apply them to jackpuddings like Gohmert.
