Oh Dear God, Not The Flag. Please, Not the Flag.
.
Dear God Almighty,
Rick Perry is waving an American flag at you while wearing his hunting clothes. Please ignore him. He is not representative of the human race and we really don’t deserve another flood because of one guy completely full of himself.
Sincerely yours,
Your friend Juanita Jean

Those “block grants” that he’s so fond of sound like “welfare checks” to me
1Wasn’t he in a Pogo cartoon once?
2Bong!!!
No, wait! It wuz Lil Abner.
What an embarrassment Gov Rick has become. BTW I recollect the criticism in the media when Connally “gentlemen’s agreement” and ran for Gov a third time. Gov Rick is far worse because Connally ran for two year terms. If Gov Rick can’t find a job in 2014 he might run again. Term limits Texas and soon Please?
BTW I’m surprised the American flag did not burst into flames when he picked it up.
3Why won’t he just retire to the PerryHead Ranch and await the apocalypse?
4What’s with the juxtaposition of his name and his title? I don’t see any prepositions that might tell us he’s running a campaign. Is Perry a brand of governor now? Or has he just borrowed the grammarians from Willard’s campaign? For those of you who think I’m just a tight butt when it comes to grammar, you would be right. Look at what happened to language in the novel, “1984.”

6Property tax will go up thanks to gov Goodhair.
7States that look skeptically at a massive expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act were among the winners in last week’s Supreme Court health care ruling. Among the possible losers: county taxpayers.
If the Texas Legislature chooses not to expand its Medicaid rolls in 2014 to cover an additional 1.5 million people, counties and public hospitals would continue to shoulder the burden of paying for the uninsured, who often seek expensive care in emergency rooms.
Unlike many states, Texas does not directly subsidize the cost of caring for the uninsured. Instead, taxpayers in Dallas County and elsewhere help pick up that tab through property taxes that support safety-net hospitals such as Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Last year, Parkland reported that its own cost for delivering uncompensated care was $335 million. Dallas County taxpayers funded $425 million, or 35 percent, of the hospital’s operating budget.

The rest of the country and THE WORLD must think Texans are crazy to keep electing this man.
8Originally it was supposed to be a sparkler instead of a flag. In fact, it was to be a whole tableaux of the Statue of Liberty. Perry balked at holding a book, but seemed very excited about the chance to wear a dress and a tiara. A bit too excited. So his handlers canceled fhe whole living diorama and photo shopped in the flag.
If that’s not true, it oughta be.
9daChipster knows Rick Perry a tad too well, no?
10Who provides health care for the people Cheney shoots while hunting?
11I have been unable to get a coherent answer to the following conundrum.
I have a multiply handicapped daughter who lives in a State supported living center. She receives social security on her father’s record. she also has a job in a sheltered workshop which is completely supervised. For some strange reason the position she holds is considered outside employment requiring payment of the minimum wage. Due to this payment and her social security, the state considers her ineligible for medicaid (which is the required method of receiving medical care in a state institution) instead of medicare which she is eligible for again on her father’s ss record. Now the punch line: She is charged $1,600 a month for medicaid. You think this is Perry’s solutiion to the medicaid problem? By the way, I agreed that her social security payment should go directly to her school for her care and maintenance. Her father paid in the maximum all of his working life so her ss payment is not inconsequential.
12Perry has a really tiny di… I mean, flag.
