Of MICE and Mar-a-Lago
Late reporting by WaPo has indicated that the extraordinary step of raiding Mar-a-Lago was due to the presence of Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) regarding nuclear state secrets still in possession of TFG despite the fact that he promised he gave it all back to the National Archives. But this is not the 1/6 call logs, or secret Space Force intel, or even transcripts of Putin meetings. This is not something that gives Trump any personal leverage or advances any political agenda. Why would Trump do this?
Let’s review Trump’s motivations, starting with his narcissism. The fragile construct of his ego in stark contrast to his actual attributes means that zero zero zero tolerance can be had for anything that makes him look like the loser he is. This supposed superiority is rooted in his belief in himself as the ne plus ultra of eugenics.
Then there’s money. Trump uses every means possible, other than hard work, to grub as much money as his tiny claws can catch onto. He ties this to the ego via selling his name as the avatar of luxury and quality when it’s really it’s the epitome of crass and tawdriness. To him, counting up money is how you determine who the “winners” are.
Money and Ego – that’s half of “MICE,” an acronym denoting the usual reasons someone commits espionage: Money, Ideology, Coercion and Ego.
And that’s what we’re discussing here – the pilfered documents include nuclear secrets. These are not call logs, or work product or Space Force doodles. These are to a spy what the crown jewels are to a cat burglar.
Ideology is unlikely to be his motivation, unless one counts an affinity towards strongman dictators and his desire to be like them.
Coercion is certainly a possibility – the “Pee Tape” is still a theoretically out there, and if not that, other forms of kompromat abound with TFG.
Even with a reason-challenged brain in a reality-challenged bubble, there is no motive for Trump to have stolen TS/SCI nuclear documents in order to win an election or own some libs or outwit the deep state or write his Mein Drumpf memoir.
He’s clearly broken the Presidential Records Act. It’s looking more and more like he broke the Espionage Act as well.
Code name: Reality Loser
Secret nuclear documents were passed to the russkies from the Rosenbergs back in the late 1940s. They were tried, convicted and executed for espionage.
Trump was either going to sell these or use them for another nefarious purpose.
I really hope they convict him of espionage.
1All you say is true about TFG’s motivations. The problem with trying to ferret out the motives of a psychopath is he will still be a psychopath and the rest of us will wander down endless corridors trying to understand why he does what he does.
Now, all we have to do is make sure this man is never allowed to run for president again nor allowed anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.—not even as a tourist. I’m not an optimist about this though.
2Angela @ 2,
I understand you scepticism. Trump may be a pscho case, but he still undertstood right from wrong. Those who could have stopped him, did nothing. Garland better have a good aim when he throws the book at tfg and all of the others who were part of the coup.
If Trump is convicted for espionage, imo, he deserves the same punishment as Rosenbergs and if not that, prison in solitary (no cell, tv, no internet) for the rest of his life.
3OOPS, I dropped the “y” in psycho. Not enough caffeine this morning.
4The vision of Trump with a buzz cut, wearing striped pajamas and handcuffs seems to be getting closer.
5Primo Encarnación, it’s good to see you posting here. When Twat first became president (I turn my head and spit when I say that), he insisted on getting security clearances for his whole brood, including daughter and her husband Jughead. However, he insisted on a Q clearance for them, which AFAIK are never handed out to politicians. Those are for people who work with the scientific and engineering aspects of nuclear weapons and assorted military goodies. Even then, the only possible reason I could think of for it was so the Twat crime family could repay their Russian help, and to maybe make some money selling secrets to the Saudis.
So he may have stole the cool stuff from the White House for future sales and not just out of narcissism.
Irrelevant note: I vaguely recall a different acronym for espionage motivation, which included sex. Although the goal there was in your category of coercion.
Another irrelevant note: does “Primo Encarnación” mean first-rate meat? Sorry, don’t answer that. It’s the kind of cod-Spanish translation my Latino friends would have made in Ft. Worthless.
6Bingo! And in the safe sitting on top of the nuclear documents was a hand written love letter from Putin,
7“Dear Donald the Great One, If you send us copies the nuclear documents that you promised we will forgive all of your financial loans and continue to build the 100′ statue of you in Kremlin Square,
Yours truly Vlad.
PS, the yellow river girl has been asking about you and thanks again for all the many secret documents you have sent us over the years!”
It’s the Flynn Perry nuclear power plant deal with the Saudis come back to life
8Remember how they screamed about Uranium One, in which Sec. of State Clinton was only one participant? AG Sessions was going to investigate and lock her up, etc. Suddenly national security is no big deal.

9Not to mention TFG had 4 freakin years to enrich himself and blackmail all others with highly classified info while putting our national security and lives at grave risk. I seriously don’t know how we survived 4 feakin years of this sadistic malignant narcissistic madman. Thank goodness he’s dumber then dumb, but don’t you EVER call him stupid lol!

With all the other possibilities, I think Trump thinks of himself as a Bond villain. Guess he never saw any of the movie endings.
