Of Course…
The Washington Post is reporting that Wisconsin Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder, who is presiding over the murder trial of young gun nut Kyle Rittenhouse, who gunned down two protesters last summer, has ruled on how lawyers can refer to the dead. Recall that Rittenhouse, who was a minor at the time, was illegally in possession of an AR-15, and had illegally crossed state lines to join a white supremacist group “guarding” private businesses in Kenosha Wisconsin. He killed two protesters who had confronted him for carrying an assault weapon in public.
Schroeder’s ruling? During the trial, lawyers can refer to the people Rittenhouse killed as “looters”, “rioters”, and “arsonists”, but not as “victims”, because “victims” is a “loaded term”. We’ve fallen down the rabbit hole and we’re not coming back.
But calling them those things is certainly even handed.
1Good God…somewhere in Wisconsin a village is missing its idiot.
2What about murdered looters?
3Or slaughtered rioters?
Can they be referred to as “targets”?
4Lazrgrl, yes they were most definitely targets and hiz honor will have whatever BS ruling overturned on appeal once it gets past the Koch-loving Wisconsin Supreme Court. I can remember a time in my youth when Wisconsin was a leader in Progressive action, Texas was too in that long-ago era. Oh, how the pendulum swings!
5I’d say the victims families should sue that judge for defamation of character. Obviously he has proof of their looting, arson, and rioting. Maybe he was absent that day in law school. Good lord this is beyond ridiculous.
6Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder, being one of Trump`s bent judges, ……………………..
