Tell me, Trump, what was it that George Floyd died for? Please be specific. I’m sure it was something honorable or you wouldn’t have suggested it was.  He already died in vain, you enormous prick, and there’s no fixing that. That is what everybody is rageful about.  You didn’t respect his life and you sure the hell have no business telling us how to respect his brutal death.

Sending our sons and daughters to shoot our sons and daughters is a Civil War. So, this is where you want to start it? This is the hill you want to die on?  You want the American military shooting American civilians?  The police are already arresting CNN reporters.  Isn’t that enough fun for you? Do you have to see blood?

The world’s a hard place, Danny. It don’t care. It don’t hate you and me, but it don’t love us, either. Terrible things happen in the world, and they’re things no one can explain. Good people die in bad, painful ways and leave the folks that love them all alone. Sometimes it seems like it’s only the bad people who stay healthy and prosper. The world don’t love you, but your momma does and so do I.

He’s just stoking the flames. Why? Because he is completely clueless and menace to humanity. I wish there were somebody who could take his phone away and shut him up.

I am still digesting the fact that I saw a bunch of cops murder a man in cold blood and in broad daylight. A man who was handcuffed and on the ground and no possible danger to himself or anybody else. I also don’t feel qualified to tell black people how they ought to react or to feel about all this. Watching His Heinous throw gasoline on this fire, however, fills me with white-hot rage.

  3. He’s going to do any and everything he can to stay in office after next January 20th. If it takes a civil war, then he’ll do his damnedest to start one. There is nothing good about this man. Nothing.

We may think we’ve seen it all since this pandemic started and over 100,000 of our fellow citizens have died while millions of others have lost their jobs, but trust me – we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

By the end of summer, we’ll have 200,000 dead. By the end of the year, who knows?

  4. BFSMAN @ 3,

Once Biden is sworn in, he will have trump removed by the DC Cops, the SS or whatever. Until then, Trump will destroy and cause as much chaos as he can. I just hope Biden has his sh!t together and an immediate plan (as Warren would say) of action to begin reversing the damage that Trump and his minions have caused.

Agree, that this isn’t the end of the pandemic. The most dangerous people in the world are the ones who have nothing to lose.

“The police are already arresting CNN reporters.”
    — That should be ‘The MN STATE police are already arresting BLACK CNN reporters.’, as it happened.
A couple of blocks away the police very politely moved a WHITE CNN crew away from a scene with no problem.

    .
Meanwhile in Ft Bend county, one of Sheriff Nehls [sp] [white] deputies overreacted during a nighttime house search, and shot and killed a fellow LEO, a constable [not clear whether the constable was black]. I got the impression of a keyed up ‘overreaction’ here, maybe wrongly, we’ll see.
    .
Notice that I don’t use the word “accidental” in reference to firearms incidents, as most do, especially the ill-informed media/press. Extremely few such incidents are ever ‘accidental’.

  6. Sandridge says:

    @5,
“I got the impression of a keyed up ‘overreaction’ here, maybe wrongly, we’ll see.”
    should have been:
‘I got the impression of a keyed up ‘overreaction’ here, maybe wrongly, we’ll see; such incidents might reflect on training or leadership factors.’

I don’t normally comment on grammar or word usage, but do “enormous” and “prick” really belong together in a sentence describing our one and only current officeholder? (going back in time to the small hands kerfuffle)

May I suggest “enormous jackass” and / or “malignant prick” instead?

For a guy warring with Twitter, he’s having a terrible time staying away from it. I hope they keep pointing out his lies, until it drives him over the edge.

  10. Oh no……do not call him an enormous prick……he will take that as a compliment.

I hadn’t considered that BFSMan, maybe he figures something is better than nothing, and will settle for being President of half of the UnUnited States. With an all red flag & a few white stars.

Understand this: Boss Tweet is TERRIFIED that the kind of response to oppression that resulted in the burning of the precinct house will happen at the base of his gold plated “tower”. He is a pathetic weenie that wouldn’t know courage if she pissed on him.

And bonkers scared losers will do ANYTHING to attempt to save their useless hides…

  14. Sam in Superior says:

I moved from San Antonio to Minneapolis in May 2017. I was shocked at the amount of racism there was in what I thought of as a “kind” state. Don’t forget that Michelle Bachmann was elected in one of the districts touching North Minneapolis.

Based on what I’ve heard and seen over my time there, much of the reason bad cops like Chauvin stay on the job is the power of police unions and arbitration. The head of the Minneapolis union is Bruce Arrodondo who was behind the Cops For Trump debacle when he visited Minneapolis.

    14
  15. twocrows says:

There is no tragedy Trump cannot make worse.

When people tell you both parties are the same, remind them that a Democrat sent the National Guard to escort black children to school in Arkansas and Republicans sent the National Guard to Kent State and Minneapolis.

And now the white Republican politicians condemn last night’s violence. But hey — what was it that got those politicians off their asses and at least one of the murderers off the street and into jail?

    Last night.

    Because property matters.

    15
  16. Mollusk, the insult rolled right over my radar, but you are absolutely right! You, too, Fran!

    16
  17. Barbara Allen says:

I agree with Two Crows – property is king for the Republicans! Trump needs to be arrested for inciting people to riot – then he comes back with the stupid “died in vain” comment. Good for Twitter for finally saying something; just remember that phones and Twitter accounts constitute a legal record. I hope he rues the day he ever brought all his meaningless lawsuits cause the NY Feds are just waiting for him.

  18. How about teeny weeny (with artificial coloring added) and some other ingredients that are hazardous to our health.

    18
  19. thatotherjean says:

And now the police officer who killed George Floyd right out in front of a bunch of bystanders, other officers, and people with cell phone recorders, is being charged with THIRD DEGREE MURDER? That’s somewhere between preposterous and disgusting, and strongly resembles a slap on the wrist.

And I’ll bet it doesn’t stop the riots. I’m already ticked off about it, and I live in a state far from Minnesota. If I lived in the neighborhood where George Floyd died, and had to cope with the officers in whose custody he died, I’d be waaaay beyond angry. The District Attorney should be ashamed of himself. His speech yesterday about justice rings hollow.

    19
  20. I’ve lived in Minnesota many years and the overall feeling, which I share, is grief and anger. The anger is at the murdering cop. The grief is about the rioting in our city.

The Gov. is Tim Walz, Democrat and a good man. He has called in the National Guard, 500 troops right now. They’re protecting the capitol building in St. Paul. Rioting has occurred in StP as well.

Jacob Frey, Democrat, is the mayor of Minneapolis. He called off the cops when the attack on the 3rd precinct, where the murderer was stationed, could only be stopped by police violence. Mayor Frey said he prioritized people over buildings.

Bruce Arondondo is the relatively new police chief and is generally thought of as a good guy who’s trying to reform the department.

Bob Kroll is the president of the police union and a white scumacyst. It’s not a hard proven fact, except in everything he says and does. He is a cancer on the MPD and needs to be the first out the door. I am pro union, but some serious reforms are needed in the Minnesota police unions so bad cops can be fired and stay fired.

White scumacysts have deliberately infiltrated the police and military and the murderer was obviously one of them. In addition, rightwing instigators arrived in town quickly. They are white scumacysts who want to start a race war.

One was seen in high quality tactical gear, professional gas mask, heavy umbrella/shield to protect his head, every inch of skin covered. This was no outraged protester. He had a hammer and was videoed smashing windows of an auto parts store. It was apparent to protesters that he didn’t belong. When they tried to question him, he walked away. The videographer and the questioner followed. He tried to snatch the camera. At that time a very good image was made and chances are he will be IDed.

A restaurant owner watched his place burn. When asked about it, he said, “Let it burn. This is bigger than my place.” He was a Muslim Arab immigrant.

Steve Carell and other Hollywood types are sending bail $ for protesters.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me. You can also check the Minneapolis Star-Tribune website, but there is a paywall. citypages.com is free, as is bringmethenews.com and mpr.org. Unicorn Riot has been providing live streaming coverage from the heart of the unrest.

I have joined many other Minnesotans tears over this. It is heartbreaking and past due.

I used to live in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, but now I live in Northfield, 35 miles south of the metro. It’s quiet here. My friends and loved ones in the metro tell me they are safe.

Please send hopes, prayers, good vibes, whatever you can. Thank you.

  22. MerrigY says:

Debbo, Thank you for your reply. I had to look up 3rd degree murder as I’ve never heard of it. Some sites say it doesn’t exist but obviously it does. Only definition I could find that it is an intent to cause bodily harm but not death and no attempt to hide the act. Do you happen to know what the sentence range would be if found guilty of 3rd degree vs. 2nd in MN? I’ll try to google it but not having much luck.

    22
  23. I don’t know. The Hennepin County Attorney, Mike Freeman, hinted that more charges might be coming. I believe that refers to raising the degree. The sense is that 3rd degree is a starting point.

  25. Jane & PKM says:

iirc George Floyd was the victim of some asssoap passing counterfeit money taken in by a business and passed onto Mr. Floyd. Excuse me for a moment, as I’m from a casino state with the technology to spot counterfeit bills. That aside, the probably white perp who runs that particular printing press, if caught, will be afforded due process and something in the neighborhood of a few months jail time, if he or she are even caught. he or she gets to live. George is dead.

George Floyd was executed for the ‘crime’ of being a victim while black. To which we can add a distinct possibility that the cold blood murdering cop “merely” seized the opportunity to execute a co-worker for unrelated reasons. See the relations between the murdered man, George Floyd, and the killer cop “off campus” where they both worked. Tell me that doesn’t stink.

Debbo, thank you for the list of places where we can all donate. I’m working on deciding where I can best make my presence known. I think it’s a bad idea for me to go to Minneapolis where I’d be written off as an “outside agitator.” Thinking more of the lines of showing up as “a presence” in the offices of our elected representatives in big numbers in every damned state.

WMDBS please …. your thoughts are welcome as I debate with myself, weigh the impact our my young sons and my wife. My “head” is telling me, “Dad, what were you doing in 2020.” Right side of history ….

So we already saw *Black/Brown* reporters (only) being arrested while trying to follow the police’s order^. Now we have the police going straight to *shooting* the press with crowd control weapons^^.

It needs to be repeated: Dylann Roof murdered nine people in a church and was arrested without harm. The cops even bought him a burger.
