You’ve been waiting.

Yes, you have.

They all eventually come here.  The Hypocrisy Hangout.

NEW YORK (AP) — A conservative scholar behind a high-grossing documentary that condemns President Barack Obama is under investigation by the evangelical college he leads over a report he took a woman who is not his wife to an event on Christian values.

The King’s College board announced the review on Tuesday, the day the conservative Christian newsmagazine WORLD reported event organizers had confronted Dinesh D’Souza about sharing a hotel room with a woman he introduced as his fiancee. D’Souza filed for divorce from his wife, Dixie D’Souza, a few days after the conference, California court records show.

D’Souza directed the film “2016: Obama’s America.”

I’ve got a movie.  “2016: Republican’s America- Women in Binders and Bed.”

Thanks to everybody and I do mean everyfreekin’body who sent this.

  1. I believe this is the current version of “family values” as practiced by the radical right.

    1
  2. I am convinced it doesn’t matter to republicans.
The men think there is nothing wrong with it and the R women think their men can do no wrong.

This is why the religious right wants women to be considered inferior and to be submissive to men.

    2
  3. How totally outrageously, funny. Hypocrites….. thy name is “Republican” .

    3
  4. Wow. This is right up there with Mitt saying Obama is to blame for American jobs shipped to China because a state pension he did NOT establish invested in a company that Romney’s Bain Capital sold off to China!

    4
  5. And, the “lady” in question is much younger. What a shock! Not.

    5
  6. “Let he who be without sin cast the first stone.” ~a really really popular book

I could honestly care less what relationships one guy has with whatever women (or men if that’s your fancy) at whatever time. Not really my business to judge and I wouldn’t want them poking around in my business. HOWEVER… when someone seems to love judging others on what they do and with who, it’s proper they get the exact same scrutiny in return. In this case, he’s found more than a bit wanting.

But honestly, who’s surprised at all by Republican hypocrites anymore?

  7. Sam in Kyle says:

Cue up “Getting to know you (in the Biblical sense)” from the Sound of Music

    7
  8. The name of the event where he was caught with his “fiancee”? TRUTH FOR A NEW GENERATION.

    8
  9. D’Souza just kreeps me out – always has, always will. Pathetic hypocritical RePig.

    9
  10. I put this one on Facebook, too! I’ve had people ask me if I’ve seen the “2016” movie and tell them “… absolutely not and I never will … it’s just more lies about Obama!” These folks, of course, think it is all true!

    Give me a friggen break!!

    10
  11. Bo Leeyeau says:

Keep in mind that in the logic (?) of many believers is this is all clear evidence that Satan is alive and well and tempting even the most devout among us. Jimmy Swaggart made it work. Theological judo.

    11
  12. @Rick, that just adds a new layer of irony to the multitudes of ironies in this story.

There was so much racist dog whistling in the trailer for “2016”. I was afraid that if I watched the whole movie I would have turned into a female dog by the end of it.

    12
  13. Uncle Dave says:

D’Souza’s face and the south end of a north facing baboon were separated at birth, but he can get a women to shack up with him while he is still married to another woman. Love is blind, they say.

    13
  14. PolishSpring says:

Is this the dude behind “Obama’s America…”?? I saw that movie.
And my conclusion: dude is jealous.
Think about it. He compares himself to the President throughout the movie, moans, complains and essentially has a hissy fit that he doesn’t measure up to the President.

So if THAT’s the same whiny hypocrite in question feeling bitter about own looserdom, then really, where’s the surprise …

    14
  15. He looks like Mr. Bean from India.

    15
  16. If hypocrisy had matter, this story would be a black hole.

    16
  17. Sam in Kyle, think you got your musicals mixed up. “Getting to Know You” is from the King and I. I get the joke. The King’s College board stated “be assured we take seriously our charge to teach a compelling worldview rooted in the Bible and expect all of our leaders to model Christian character and integrity in their public and private lives.” Now that sounds like we need to ALL sing “It Ain’t Necessarily So” from Porgy and Bess!

    17
  18. First of all I have to contain my surprise that 2 women were willing to go to bed with him, that set aside….

Dixie must be saying, “Well, Bless his heart” as only a Southern Woman would.

  19. shortpeople says:

Dinesh D’Souza embodies two Republican hall marks: self-satisfied smugness and a sense of entitlement. I heard him speaking at dinner many years ago when he was dining with the local Yawping Anal orifices for Fascism (YAF – or maybe campus Republicans) president. They were not using inside voices. They spoke of the travesty of affirmative action on campus and how it lowered standards, completely oblivious to the fact that, in today’s parlance, that they were doing so well in the game was because they were playing on the easiest setting, Straight White Male (the YAFfer was one, and the D was raised to believe himself one, having been taken in by a Rotarian family in Arizona in his teen years while here on scholarship, not to mention the Dartmouth years – Okay, he was allowed to play as a token, affirmative action addmission.) Well, maybe in D’s case, they were right about lowered standards. Blind pigs can find acorns on occasion.

    19
  20. shortpeople says:

    That should read:

. . . the reason they were doing so well in the game . . .

    20
  21. Corinne Sabo says:

All this time I didn’t know Christianity was about infidelity…certainly had ME fooled.

    21
  22. @Corinne, it does appear that infidelity is a family value for evangelical men.

    22
  23. Another right-wing Holy Horndog. Quelle surprise!

    23
  24. shortpeople says:

@June If what the guy from the C Street Family said is to be believed, certain Christian males are effectively among the Anointed, like King David, and the Lord over looks it when they seek to satisfy appetites.

    24
  25. Wonkette has it on good authority that he also dated Ann Coulter…..yuck spit ewwwwwwwww!

    25
  26. Uncle Dave: Love is not blind. As a student once told me “Love is in the eye of the bewildered.”

    26
  27. aggieland liz says:

Wonder if he found out Ann’s real name is “Lola” hee hee hee?!

    27
  28. Actually he is practicing Christian values, depending on which part of the Bible you read.

    28
  29. aggieland liz says:

@ LynnN, Christ-ian values are found in the Gospel and the Acts and Epistles. They are supposed to be about FOLLOWING (which always meant AFTER where I went to school) not about what happened before. There is even a statement attributed to Christ that “you do not put new wine into old wineskins.” The so-called “christians” who put the Old Testament before the New and are desperately trying to rewrite the Gospels to suit themselves are nothing more than modern-day Pharisees. My husband’s favorite quote (NOT a Christian except by baptism when he was an infant) that sums all this up is “not everyone that says ‘Lord, lord’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven.” My favorite is the end of Matthew, where everyone is bewildered and surprised by the outcome; THAT has the ring of truth about it!

Sorry for the rant, I know lots of people who try hard to follow, and boobs like this that give them (us?) all a bad name just annoy the crap outta me. Kind of like the very small percentage of militant murderous Muslims getting all the airplay, while the people who really try to follow the Q’oran never even get an honorable mention! and its early …

    29
  30. He dated Laura Ingrahm too, yuk, him not her.

    30
  31. shortpeople says:

@Jo, Didn’t lil’ D and Laura get their gigglez outing closeted gay students to said student’s parents? Couldn’t have happened to a nicer Nixon.
