  3. Jane & PKM says:

Commissioned in 1994, the destroyer already bears the names of Sen. McCain’s father, Admiral John S. McCain, Jr., a former U.S. Pacific Command commander, and his grandfather, Admiral John S. McCain, a distinguished World War II carrier task force commander. Sen. John S. McCain, III, continued this proud legacy as a naval aviator during the Vietnam War. As a prisoner of war, he endured more than five years of captivity, representing America honorably and selflessly. Senator John S. McCain III was added to the history and name of the destroyer honoring 3 generations of McCain service.

Ignoring history, the ***king moron is dissing three generations of McCains, the United States Navy and military service. Surely there’s a garbage scow somewhere at the bottom of the Hudson that can be renamed for Cadet Fake Bone Spurs.

  4. Jane & PKM @ 3,

John McCain was a distingushed and honorable man. I may have not agreed with McCain on many political points, but he was no idiot. He was well educated and demonstrated a dignified, measured decorum in his public life.

A garbage scow might be too good. How about a tombstone with his name that people can line up to water the grass over his grave?

  5. Sam in St Paul says:

There are emails between the WH and the Navy about hiding the name. Sailors on the USS McCain were given the day off so they wouldn’t show up with their ship’s caps on. Trump is a….get ready for it….”Whiney Little Bitch”.

If you think this is bad now, get ready for an escalation from Trump and his nest of vipers as their desperation to hold onto power escalates as we get closer to 2020.

  6. Linda Phipps says:

Other news sources (dependable ones) claimed that the Navy did not reposition any vessel, and the only incident that the name was obscured from one angle where there was a regularly placed tug.

  7. Lunargent says:

Got another P word for ya.

    PATHETIC.

Every Naval member who participated in this decision is a disgrace, and should be removed from the Service forthwith.

  8. Lunargent says:

I hope there weren’t sailors aboard wearing that patch with Rump’s face, on their uniforms .

Aren’t miitary personnel prohibited from wearing stuff that expresses a personal political position?

  10. Old Fart says:

Dotard 45, continuing to prove he’s the biggest loser.

John Jr. (like his dad) is an Admiral, III becomes Senator and Presidential Candidate, then saves healthcare for millions.

    Ship named after father OK
But the evil mccain did will live on well past his death.
Did he have a “moment” that showed some fortitude yes but on his return like a hungry gigalo he dumped his wife for a richer prettier one, he helped promote addled ronnie, he was hip deep in S&L scandals yet in the height of hypocrisy he would rear up on his hind legs to fulminate about clinton.
No he, like goldwater and so many others, should have had his remains dumped into one of the very “hot” tanks on the hanford nuclear reservation.
That is probably the only way to ensure his toxitity didn’t escape.

    12
  13. I know the Navy has Petty Officers, but this is the first I’ve heard of a Petty Commander in Chief.

  15. And he pulls this stunt right after Memorial Day? That he pulls it at all is *****y, but he did things on Memorial Day that other Presidents have done. Apparently it just did not sink in, but then . . . oh hell!

This only emphasizes the fact that he is a nadless little twit.
