My Kind of Guy!

January 31, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Dan Chiasson lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and the city council is after him.  It seems that Dan put a sign on his house.

And the city is going to fine him $300 a day until he takes it down.  They say it’s in violation of city codes.  They say the sign hung at Dan Chiasson’s house “is too big and hung too high.”  Well, damn, that’s kinda how I like my men – too big and hung high.

The problem, as I see it, is not that we have an Impeach Trump sign on a house.  The problem is that we should have at least a couple million more.

Thanks to Rip for the heads up.

  1. Now let’s see what else Wellesley, Massachusetts can go after.

I’d start with people wearing MAGA hats in town. For brains too small and IQ’s too low.

” … at least a couple million more.” Hope would be about 300 million more with at least half of Dotard45’s ‘base’ showing a glimmer of a clue.

Rick, how about “open season” on MAGAt hats, rascal scooters equipped with gun racks, and morons toting military style weapons not in a declared overseas combat zone?

  3. Maybe we should start a GoFundMe for this guy to cover a few more weeks or months.

Until they arrest and indict Junior and impeach Daddy-o.

  4. Surprised at the delicacy of the fee-fee’s in Wellesley, which is the home of the alma mater of the woman who SHOULD have been president, in any sane country. But then, it’s also a carefully curated wealthy woodsy exurb whose residents may sniff a little at the trashiness of the Occupant, but are unaffected by his policies, except for their stock portfolios.
I might have gone to college there, in same class as HRC, but chose a year early and stayed in CA instead. But I did live nearby for 5 years and trundled through Wellesley a fair amount, taking my daughter out to riding lessons, the big parental indulgence for which I pinched pennies elsewhere. Worth it – women who ride horses generally don’t take crap from anyone, as they know how to handle large stubborn creatures.

And let’s back up that sign with the best-ever tweet by the real Donald Trump:

  7. @slipstream, no, apparently we’re not “allowed to impeach a president for gross incompetence,” or we would have done it already.

    7
  8. I don’t remember the First Amendment including the words “Except if the sign is too high or too large.”

  9. Now, really! That city council sound nuts. Haven’t they ever heard of the Constitution? A know someone who put an 8 foot flagpole in his yard, two feet of it underground and hung Old Glory on it. The HOA honcho told him it was a bad thing to do as it might upset other people????????? The flag owner told him that if he tried to remove it from his private property he was likely to end up with the flag pole you know where.

  10. Turns out Chiasson is a professor and author and the city backed down Thursday evening. His banner was exempt by city ordinance. Who woulda thunk it? His twitter stream on the event…. https://twitter.com/dchiasso?lang=en

  11. Wellesley is a nice town, and a lot of my best friends grew up there, *but* they used to be a “dry town”. And while my grandparents were part of the temperance movement, that says something^.
It’s also where one of the Celtics’ players was held at gunpoint due to “mistaken identity” ^^.
And where the sad incident of Dr. Greineder murdering his wife occurred ^^^.
It’s a well-to-do, complicated, place where the right people are expected to act in the right way…

  12. Complicated: Dr. Dirk Greineder saved (one of) my sister-in-law’s life, and allowed my wife to overcome crippling allergies.

  13. Reminds me of after the twit was appointed to office by his daddy’s freinds on the dishonorable supreme kangaroo court I put an Impeach bush bumper sticker on my car.
Got more then 1 dirty look in grocery parking lot. To which I would ask if they had a problem.
But being 6′ + and of more mass then I should be nothing came of it.
I know its not nice but can never resist an oppurtunity to over torgue a wingnut.
Where is the ACLU or such liberal legal org to put the fear of the lord into this group of nutcase city council members?
Demented donnie got away with this sort of violation in florida and one knows that if this was a sign saying the lord picked the idiot that some whack job christianist lawyers would descend like a plaque of locuses upon that community.
