More Boasting – This Time from the Russians
If all this were in a mystery novel, no one would believe it; they would think it was too far-fetched. The latest shoe to drop is that, during the campaign last year, US intelligence intercepted communications from Russians who were bragging that they already had Michael Flynn in their pocket and could use him to influence US policy should Trump be elected. ALL of that came true.
The next shoe to drop will be the identity of the current senior advisor to Trump that has been labeled a person of interest. My current guess is that it’s Jared Kushner, but who knows? It could be Ivanka since she was pushing he clothing line in Russia during the campaign.

Word has it that Ivanka is adding a new pocket to her line of
1RompHims called a “Flynn”. The line should sell well in Russia.

3Robert Mueller, when approved as special counsel, probably rubbed his palms together and thought, “THIS is a target rich environment”.
Now if he will go quietly about his business, he stands a good chance of indicting them all.
4We all must remember this will be a slow moving train, Watergate was at least an 18 month investigation. Also Mueller is , so far, only investigating a connection between trump/Russia and the election. The question of trump’s other activity is a whole other matter yet to be investigated. Dare I say money laundering for the Russians, who nows what else. I think it will all be tied up in trump’s business dealings.
5The Trump Crime Family is going down. I would love to see all but Barron, Tiffany and the wives indicted, tried, convicted, perp walked and imprisoned.

In a freight train world of media speculation, there has been some speculation of a “bullet train” coming. This despite the existence of a snacilbupeR Congress. There’s been a rapid response to attribute the leaks to the IC and career bureaucrats loyal to Obama. Meh. Say what one will about career bureaucrats, allegiance to one party or the other isn’t it. It’s paycheck & benefits with a shield of service to the country.
So, about the leaks? Yeah buddy, it would be fun to imagine that the IC has declared war on Donnie. But follow the money as the Golden Rule with snacilbupeR. Who stands to gain the most and could bear a serious animus against Donnie? Could it be the often offended Mikey Dense?
Let’s not forget how instrumental Martha Mitchell was in the Watergate years. Who knows? We might learn to like Messalina “Messy” Drumpf. Just saying. 😀
FWIW El Jefe, I tend to agree that Jared is the current member caught with his tiny little hand in the cookie jar. But the key word is “current.” This rodeo is shaping up to be a duel between an excess of criminal clowns and a surplus load of bull.

9Diane, interesting perspective and you may very possibly be correct. Representative Elijah Cummings’ letter was intercepted by Don McGahn. Former acting AG Sally Yates communicated twice through McGahn, iirc. But in implausible deniably both Donnie and Mikey Dense claim they “heard nothing.”
But McGahn cannot cover Donnie, as President Obama took his concerns regarding Flynn directly to Dolt45. As for Pence? As ‘head’ of the transition team, Rep Cummings’ letter should have landed on his desk.
Is McGahn prepared to take a prison term to protect the Dolt and Dimwit?

Dolt45 is worried about the Russia connection investigations. Remember when Columba embarrassed Jeb with her suitcase full of undeclared goodies? Maybe ICE should board Air Force One when it returns. A careful inspection of any satchel attached to Jughead might very well reveal what personal goodies he received from grateful Saudis. Also rip the heels off Ivanka’s shoes; she may be carrying for Elaine Chau and family.
^ Only partly in jest. Donnie traded away $billions over years in sending our weapons manufacturing to Saudi Arabia as well as some auto manufacturing and other goodies. In “return” Texas will receive approximately 2500 dirty jobs soon to become obsolete. Heck of a negotiation, Donnie.
Take that Vlad! Seems the Saudis and Turkey are way ahead of you in line. Better call Rex, before Donnie gives away all that you thought you had coming.

17I think the official is McGahn – reading up on him, he’s got ties to Russia through the Trump business organization. He appears to be a useful go-between with Russia and Ukraine. And he apparently was the guy who really ran the transition team. He’s smart enough to do the worst (which means best for Trump) in a low-profile way. Kushner just isn’t smart enough to handle all the ins and outs of what appears to be collusion with Russia.
