He seems quite familiar with the object in his picture – family member?

  2. Dies Irae – The day of judgment.

Now playing at an impeachment inquiry near you.

Almost 800 years at the top of the charts.

Why this creepy melody is in so many movies

Now it can and will be referenced with the impeachment inquiry hearings.

  4. I feel badly for Rep. Brooks confusing the “product” of the White House with the analysis of the whistleblower…

  5. Is Mo certain that’s not a Alabama Republican candidate who recently ran for Senate?

    5
  6. Well, they have just suffered through a hurricane, you know……

  7. The appropriately named “Mo” short for moron Brooks like so many Republicons, too st00pid to be shamed.

  8. Another whistleblower complaint:

Here’s another pile of (it) that hasn’t hit the fan yet due to the fact that a Dem (Richard Neal) is sitting on it.

House Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Richard Neal is reportedly sitting on a credible and “potentially explosive” whistleblower complaint alleging that President Donald Trump attempted to influence an IRS audit of his tax returns.

Neal, a Democrat from Massachusetts, has refused to discuss the tax whistleblower’s claims in public, opting instead to use the official’s allegations to strengthen the Ways and Means Committee’s legal effort to obtain Trump’s tax returns.
But now that House Democrats are moving forward with a formal impeachment inquiry against Trump, progressives are demanding that Neal break his silence on the whistleblower complaint and give the public as much information as possible about another potential abuse of power by the president.
“If the House Ways and Means Committee believes that Donald Trump has unduly influenced the IRS, they have a duty to make the public aware of this blatant act of corruption,” Ryan Thomas, spokesperson for progressive advocacy group Stand Up America, told Common Dreams.

In a brief filed in a Washington, D.C. federal court last month, the House Ways and Means Committee said it received “unsolicited communication” from a federal employee on July 29 detailing “credible allegations of ‘evidence of possible misconduct’—specifically, potential ‘inappropriate efforts to influence’ the mandatory audit program.”

  9. Trump says there should be a way of stopping impeachment inquiry, perhaps through courts

(Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday assailed Democrats for their impeachment inquiry and said there should be a way to stop them, perhaps through courts.
“What … Democrats are doing to this country is a disgrace and it shouldn’t be allowed. There should be a way of stopping it, maybe legally through the courts,” Trump said upon returning from a trip to New York where he attended the U.N General Assembly.

He’s like a frightened child wrapping himself around Robert’s or Kavanaugh’s legs.

  10. You can no more trust a Republican’s word about another Republican any more than you can trust their automatic smears of Democrats. Trump and McConnell have destroyed any credibility that the GOP might have ever had.

  12. Megasoid. That link to Dies Irae was really interesting. Thanks for posting it.

There needs to be No More Mo!

  14. AK Lynne @ 11 Thanks. I collect these stories to fit them into the political narrative or as a mirror to the foibles or political putrescence of the current government. It goes without saying that it doesn’t always work but at least I’m not getting down voted for the effort.

  15. Rick Stelter says:

I don’t understand why he put up a picture of his lunch, it’s kinda disgusting, really.

    15
  16. If two people in Alabama get divorced, are they still cousins?

    16
  17. Now that demented donnie has thrown pence and barr under the bus my hope is his next comments are “I have talked to my thuglican judges, on scotus, and other levels and they have reassured me that their is no legal case against me (demented donnie) that will pass their scrutiny”

Now that might get them impeached as well.

  18. I’ll bet I know why this guy is spewing this crap — literally. I hopped over to FOX **ahem** “News” tonight and they were saying virtually the same thing: “hearsay,” “no evidence,” etc.

And that was when they weren’t excoriating the squad. They couldn’t WAIT to get their claws out and blame them for the whole thing.
They even — almost — excused Pelosi, saying it was all the squad’s fault that she’s doing what she’s doing — that she’s helplessly in their thrall. [If that were the case, impeachment would have begun months ago but — hey — FOX vs. Facts and there’s certainly no room for logic, either.]

You KNOW where this guy gets his “news,” right?
Yeah, fly high and proud, FOX.

  19. Buttermilk Sky says:

Brooks should know better than to send out pictures like that. Has he learned nothing from Anthony Weiner?

  20. Dies Irae, a plaintively beautiful Gregorian chant, which
is sung at the Mass for the Dead and is not creepy at all.
I have found it comforting in that situation.
Hector Berlioz is responsible for the loud, brassy arrangement used in “Night on Bald Mountain”. It’s a very effective use to create that fearful sound and to create a sense of impending doom. Very useful for the Trump situation.
