Okay, y’all, Miss Texas did her job.

You can skip the two commercials at the beginning after 15 seconds.  Do it and then listen to her response about Charlottesville.

Thanks to Dori for the heads up.

Good for Miss Texas! Smart, confident, beautiful – the whole package. I appreciate her intelligence most.

  2. Good for her!

  3. Awesome!

  4. JAKvirginia says:

Oh Noes! He will not want to grab her now! Heh, heh, heh…

Obviously, she’s beautiful on the inside, too. Thanks to a bold, strong woman.

  5. Good for her for speaking out, and I hope she doesn’t get the Dixie Chicks treatment. I’m sure she’s gotten some death threats, but every cowardly little jerkwad makes death threats.

  6. Yes ma’am! This just made my day

  7. Good for you Miss Texas, see such a simple statement has great impact. See trump it isn’t that difficult!

  8. Great!!! She is right on……oh and beautiful……and smart!

The ladies with both beauty and brains sure are beating up on the beast known as Donnie.

  10. And responding to a question about the US pulling out of the Paris climate accords, Miss North Dakota, Cara Mund responded:

“I do believe it’s a bad decision. Once we reject that, we take ourselves out of the negotiation table. And that’s something that we really need to keep in mind. There is evidence that climate change is existing, so whether you believe it or not, we need to be at that table. And I think it’s just a bad decision on behalf of the United States.”

After that answer, Cara is no longer Miss North Dakota. She is now Miss America.

Y’all might slap me for this, but lately, if I want to hear a liberal or progressive with balls and brains I have to listen to the women. C’mon gentleman, femme up!

    11
  12. JAKvirginia, looking for balls and brains? Try Emily’s List. Adam Schiff and Chris Murphy occasionally get in touch with their inner lesbian, then Donnie starts chasing them around a room and they become all skewered. Drat. Autocratic autocorrect. But skewered works nearly as well as skeered.

    12
  13. All of the women had political questions and their responses shamed the snacilbupeR Congressweasels. They gave direct, clear, unambiguous answers.

BTW, Ms. Mund is the first NorDakota woman to ever win and — get this — she wants to be NorDakota’s first Woman Governor! ND has a very populist and liberal history, but the advent of the Kochs has really shut that down. Those lefties are still there though and, with a population less than a million, only 1 representative so no gerrymandering. There is hope for NorDakota.

    13
  14. For me, the amazing part was not only the answers, but the fact that questions this controversial were even asked.

Good on ya, Miss America Pageant!

    14
  15. Now, see? You don’t need six shooters all the time to make a really genuine statement! Brains will do!

    15
  16. I’m with Lunargent. I haven’t watched the Miss America pageant in some decades, but I thought all they had to say was that they wanted to work with puppies and elderly people and spread sunshine throughout the world. Questions that require thought and are controversial surprise me.

    16
  17. I remember a time when beauty pageant contestants couldn’t string a coherent sentence together — let alone one that was thoughtful and smart.

Miss Texas and Miss North Dakota, when you’re done with your beauty-pageant-winning duties, won’t you please run for office? Please? America needs you.
